Came for a three-day camping break with my partner on the Staden Grange campsite. Booked through Pitchup which was confusing as we thought we booked an electric pitch so had to pay extra - but that’s nothing on Staden Grange. Campsite location is very picturesque despite it being close to a industrial complex. Well-spaced out pitches and plenty of room with great facilities including a shower, toilets, plate washing and even a playground for kids. Dogs are allowed which is a plus but no fires are allowed however barbecues are. Bit annoying as the nights were chilly so make sure you pack a portable heater or something warm. A good campsite overall and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a campervan for two nights. The site is pleasant in a wooded area. You do have to drive through an industrial estate to get to it, but the site itself is set away from the units down a single lane track. The pitches were well spaced and most have EHU if needed. The pot wash is good as are the toilet and shower facilities. You do need to pay for the showers so need 20p or £1 coins but they do tell you this when they confirm the booking. There is a nice little playground for smaller children. The owners were friendly and helpful when we arrived, showing us to our pitch and explaining where everything is. They also give useful information on a sheet when you check in, including local takeaways that deliver! The only downside is although the toilet and shower blocks were clean, had hot water and were lovely and warm, there would not be enough if all the pitches were in use. We were lucky as it was not too full and was therefore not an issue.

Would highly recommend. I dropped in unannounced and was welcomed by the very helpful owners. Location is ideal for Buxton and surrounding areas.

Lovely campsite just outside of Buxton. We stayed one night and thought it was great. Also very easy, no fuss approach to late arrivals.

Well run, tidy, quiet, all amenities, open all year round. Whether you're with a camper or tent you'll find a nice spot. The owner is great. 5* customer service, 5* location, 5* amenities.

Beautiful little campsite with all the facilities you could ask for. Toilets, showers and potwash were nice and clean. The pitches were also a good size and well maintained. The warm welcome we received made such a great first impression! We were greeted and shown round the site within minutes of arrival. Overall it was a lovely place and we'll definitely be staying again.

We booked two nights here as we wanted to visit Buxton. The facilities here are not in a building, as you might expect, but are located in a small, purpose built cabin. There are two showers, two toilets and two sinks on each side - separated for ladies and gents. On arrival we were told that on each side one of the showers was out of order, leaving just one working shower for all the men on site and another one for the ladies. Maybe I’m picky, but I don’t like queuing for showers or, even worse, toilets. Even if everything was working the facilities will be hard-pressed during the holiday period. To add insult to injury, the showers are subject to an additional cost. Being disappointed with the lack of working showers perhaps made me more critical, but I noticed that the facilities were not particularly clean. We’ve been campers for over 20 years and we’ve seen a good variety of sites, but this one is well below average. I thought it might be useful to tactfully let the owner know how I felt, but he seemed fairly dismissive of what I had to tell him. Despite the fact we had paid for the second night, we left a day early as we definitely didn’t want to stay another night. We won’t be coming back.

First time there in our newly converted VW camper and it was absolutely lovely, no noise apart from the birds singing. Loads of space and greenery just lovely being at one with nature and owner was really welcoming, definitely will be visiting again.

We really loved our little camp at Staden grange. Allistar was so welcoming, helpful and friendly! We asked if we could swap pitches and he was more than happy to accommodate us. We went while the farm yard was closed due to Covid but the play area was open and the kids had a fantastic time playing on the park and in the woods behind the park. Shower and toilet block was lovely and clean and the pitches were plenty spaced out to allow for Covid regulations. The campsite its self is lovely and peaceful, with all the trees around! The only reason i couldn't give it 5 stars was the few noises from the nearby factory. Its not that noisey and didnt hear it over night but just slightly detracts from the beautiful surroundings. Despite that i would 100% stay here again.
