What a fantastic resort, the staff were friendly and informative, the cabin we stayed in was called hedgehog and it had everything you need for a holiday. The hot tub was checked every day by the staff so there were no overpowering chemicals which we've had at other places. Would highly recommend.
Paula was absolutely amazing throughout our stay and truly made the experience special for us. From the moment we arrived, she was welcoming, kind, and incredibly attentive. She went above and beyond to cater for our needs, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we required. Her loving, caring attitude really stood out nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she helped us with such genuine warmth and patience. It’s rare to come across someone who treats guests with so much care and compassion, and Paula does exactly that. We will be returning only because of Paula she made our stay amazing, and her attitude and personality made us completely fall in love with both the place and with her. Because of her, our stay felt relaxed, supported, and enjoyable from start to finish. She is a real credit to the place, and we are so grateful for everything she did for us. This was our 4th trip to Quarry Walk and we will be back. The location for walks with our dog is fantastic. Unfortunately the weather was really bad which had made us stay in the cabin and we paid for the wifi to entertain us whilst we were stuck indoors, the WiFi signal was terrible and after speaking to the staff several times( who were amazing and really did their best) we just gave up. The cabin and hot tub are great, its a brilliant little get away. If you need a signal for anything important then its probably best not to go there or be prepared to have to leave the area to get a signal.
My boyfriend and I arrived on a Friday in the late evening. It was very dark, we headed to reception and received our key and drove to our cabin. Sadly, we were given the wrong key and had to drive back up to reception. The lady apologised and gave us the correct key. The cabin was clean, and the only downside was no tv in the bedroom. we were looking forward to watching a dvd in bed. The underfloor heating is not all over the living room space. That was disappointing, and it was cold at times. I prepaid the WiFi, which was £10 for 24 hours. When trying to log in and connect, this did not work. I had to pay a further £10 to access, not happy, as you can imagine. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and a lovely walk through the woods on the grounds. The lady at reception made us feel very welcome, she was very pleasant and friendly.
Stayed in the Robin Lodges for 4 nights, it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The Lodge was clean tidy and homely with all appliances and facilities all working well with an abundance of towels, shampoos, conditioners and shower gel. The surround sound speakers with Bluetooth on the wall was a nice touch. The local pub is a 20 min walk away and was really nice, we didn't eat but the food looked great. If you want a peaceful and chilled break this is the place for you. The onsite shop has all the necessaries and has a selection of local beers, wine and gin, DVDs and games. I would recommend you buy the WiFi package for £25 for 7 days if you are going to need/want internet, I know it sounds like a lot but you can connect 5 devices and there is literally no signal at all on the site and it worked really well. The only thing I would want to add is a light that you can have permanently on outside in the hot tub area (that's being very picky). All in all i would 100% recommend Quarry walk park.
We took our caravan here for a week end and granted it was lovely and peaceful but there was nothing around. The site is more for the log cabins, the lanes to the caravan part were extremely bumpy due to pot holes in the mud and the bushes cut back just enough. All of this aside we enjoy the peace and would return
The Lodge we was in (5 Robin lodge) was absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean upon arrival. The facilities were outstanding. If WiFi was purchased, then you could easily use the buult in lodge sound system for music (on quietly obviously!). The bathroom was great, with a big double shower. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Just your own food / condiments / drinks required if eating there. Hot tub was big enough for 4 easily, probably more (only 2 of us there). Woodlands literally at the end of your veranda, which was great for watching birds and other wildlife. The site location is well situated for local activities if you have a car. If not, then there is still lovely walks and things to do nearby. Then there is the staff. We'll, all I can say is, they are absolutely outstanding in every sense. Super friendly, super approachable, unbelievably helpful. They absolutely add to the enjoyment of the stay, knowing they will go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable one. As soon as its possible, I will happily be booking up again for return stay.
Had a fantastic stay for our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed in woodpecker lodge. Lodge was lovely and welcoming. Kitchen could do with a face lift but everything worked and was clean. The underfloor heating was so nice we was toast warm the whole time. The hot tub was perfect and set at a good temperature even when it was freezing outside we was lovely and warm. We will definitely be back!
