    Holiday Lettings Beech Lodge

“Lovely Lodge in a great location with a fantastic host! Beach Lodge is super convenient for Derby, Burton, Nottingham and Alton-Towers but also quiet with great facilities onsite, pubs, restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and it feels like being somewhere on the coast rather than in the midlands. The lodge itself is well setup with a good kitchen, large rooms and nice furniture. Rob, the owner, is super attentive and provided a really nice check-in experience. Will definitely be back.”

In a lovely location in the woods with lovely walks and wildlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were good facilities on site. Highly recommended.”

“Stayed only for one night in glamping pod Ash as a mid-way point to home. Friendly owner greeted us and showed us our glamping pod and explained the layout/amenities. Pod was clean and contained all the essentials you could possibly think of. Each pod has their own shower and toilet facility within the "toilet block" for the pods. It's a clean, small, amd peaceful site with plenty of walks in the area and a nice pub within a 15-20 minute walk. Great first experience in a pod. I would highly recommend this camp site. P.S. we greatly appreciated the owners letting us park our car and small caravan on site while we used the pod as we didn't want to unload and put down the feet just for a one night, shirt stay. Thanks again--we enjoyed our stay!”

“great campaign site. Well maintained and friendly staff. We were campaigning in front of the lake with electric hookup. This was our second time camping here. And we have booked again for next year at the same pitch. The amenities are great and all ways cleaner. A nice little shop as well. Very dog friendly. We can't wait for next year already.”

    Knights Lodges of Bretby

“Fantastic lodges big spacious. This is a fairly newish complex. Beds were comfortable. it would be lovely if the open out lodges with hot tubs had some outside sun loungers, and some sides for the canopy as it was very open to everyone sometimes quite windy. Also 2 of the bedrooms could do with drawers in for your clothes. Just to say this is not a complaint just an observation. Would definitely be booking again. Didn't use the spa centre but it looks beautiful. Had to have the hot tub water changed while we were there they came within the hour and it was emptied, cleaned and refilled straight away and they use hot water to refill so it was up to temperature straight away.”

“We had a fantastic 4 day break in one of the caravans on site, lovely family friendly ground with a nice quiet vibes but plenty of space for our toddlers to play. Nice little shop for essentials and a decent little pool. No bar or restaurant on site but a breakfast van came in the mornings and there is a little hut selling burgers and wraps on an evening, burgers were really good. Only slight gripe was there was no towels supplied in our caravan which is fine if we had known, and the double bed in our caravan was the hardest bed I’ve ever slept in, didn’t catch a good night sleep in the time we were there. Excellent location with plenty walks and cycle routes close to Ashbourne and Matlock. We will be back”

    Callow Top Holiday Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Open

“Lovely camptite. Very friendly staff. Nice pub on site. Food quite pricey but looked good, burgers and pizza. Its open to full sunshine with no shade but they eventually put a few umbrellas up. Swimming pool nice, not too big but clean. No loungers but some bench tables, again no shade. Small kids pool too that gets very busy, especially at weekends! Good shop that stocks essentials plus some camping gear. Electric hookup extensions are about 30 quid and you may need one as the electric posts are every 3 pitches! Gets very busy at weekends!”
