Our first CAMH experience and my goodness we weren't disappointed! We arrived in storm Amy and were welcomed with minds put at rest and advised of a sheltered area. The site is absolutely stunning and beautifully kept by the staff who go above and beyond to make this a wholesome delightful experience. Our electric played up and they came straight out in the rain sorted in no time. The cleanliness off the pitches toilets and facilities were spotless and we just had to book an extra night it was so good! Thanks for having us, looking forward to next time x

Lovely quiet campsite. Goof for dogs. Clean shower building with laundry, dishwasher facilities. Clean campsite with large plots. Nice walk across the dam to the visitor centre.

Great camp site, beautifully maintained with friendly and helpful wardens. Brand new and spotless toilet and shower block. Pitches are spacious and attractively set out, lots of trees. Really quiet location, no road noise and short walk to Carsington water. This is what a campsite should look like.

Plenty of space between the caravans for privacy. Surrounding area was beautiful, views were amazing. Plenty of amenities for everyone too. Had food vans visiting the site, we had fish & Chips one day. Then a pizza van came another day while we were there. Our dogs loved it in the woods. Thank you too All.

A nice campsite with a lovely perimeter dog walk, we found perfect but be careful as you walk between the trees as its riddled with tree roots and pinecones everywhere ( the site is in a pine forest) but your dog wont care. Play areas for kids and lovely toilets and roomy showers. Lots of kids lots of dogs.

Really lovely site, well maintained with really helpful friendly staff. All the pitches are well kept and situated in a small woodland so lots of wildlife all around. Only a stones throw from carsington reservoir which is lovely to walk around. There are a couple of children's play areas on site, they also have a chip van on site on a friday night and a man cooking pizza in a wood oven on a saturday

A pleasant, quiet campsite located a short walk from Carsington Water. Six miles from Ashbourne with pubs, shops and cafes. Facilities (toilet/shower block, play areas) are for campers only. Friendly staff.

Beautiful site, immaculately kept. Although it's a large site it feels small as the pitches are grouped into different areas. The dog walk is the best I've seen and you can walk from the site to Carsington water

Well ... what can I say reading some of the reviews of negativity Did put me off going a little bit but I'm SO glad I ignored them I feel some people don't research were there visiting enough before going and as I see it site rules are in place for all to adhere too so everyone can enjoy there stay if people choose to ignore the rules of the site this will cause the issues that I read My experience was fantastic ...peace and tranquility in a boundance The wardens were very polite and helpful I loved listening to the silence at night except for the touting of the owl it was beautiful I absolutely enjoyed my visit and we will be back 100% The pizzas were really tasty my only criticism if I had to is the pizzas could of been a bit bigger for the price because it was so tasty I didn't want it to end the people running the pop up pizza van we're really nice too I loved and enjoyed my stay at this site an cant wait to return Beautiful,Beautiful place Thank you all at carrsington water caravan and motorhome camp site See you all very soon

The site was amazing but we wouldn't go back, the grumpy, jobs worth of a site warden spoilt it for us before we got through the gate. We where thirty minutes early for check in - easily done after a long drive -. He watched us from his mobile home situated near reception, couldn't even be bothered coming over to see us, instead he shouted directions to my wife over the fence, ' your too early and can't wait there , go away and come back in half an hour.' We had to back the caravan down the long drive, park up elsewhere for 20 minutes, when we got back there was long a queue to reception!!! He never smiled the whole weekend and took great pleasure making people feel uncomfortable. Do us all a favour and retire or at least get a job in a museum which would be more fitting!!!
