   Just got back from a stay at Blackbrook Lodge and can safely say I would never return or recommend! On arrival you are greeted with a building site, a turning circle that only a master driver could manage and mud lots and lots of mud, granted it is winter but the building works are a huge cause of this. The staff however were very polite. Before arrival we rang to check what length of electric cable we would need and was assured 10m would be suffice, needless to say it wasn’t and we had to borrow another cable to be able to get electricity to our caravan. We had the same issue with the water hose, even with a 14m hose we still couldn’t reach the water supply, we told the woman in the office who advised her husband would be down to sort something out, he never arrived, so my mother in law went to go and ask and was told there’s nothing they can do, so we went the full weekend without water!! The pitches are slanted and very uneven although very large. The toilets were quite clean however there were holes in the ceiling above the showers and no one emptied the bathroom bins for the whole weekend. The full site looked unkempt and run down. I would say this is very much a workman’s site and not somewhere to go as a family. It’s a real shame as the views could be beautiful.

   A nice small, but secure site. There's a shop with some basic essentials in. The shower and toilet block are very clean, and well maintained. There are pods available, as well as pitches, and also areas where people are staying for longer. They're currently doing some site maintenance but it still did not affect our stay, and its actually a very quiet and peaceful area, with local fields for walks and even a small fishing pond. Its a good choice for a peaceful getaway. To note, the pods are small but warm !

   Had a night away in camper van with my lad for some fishing in the on site lakes. Very friendly staff, nice secure site, toilets, showers and washing up area all very clean. The pods look very nice and cosy as well around the fishing lakes. Pitches are a good size with electric and water on one we stopped on. Remember your wheel chocks it is on a slight hill.

   We stayed in the Kingfisher pod. A facilities, microwave, smart TV, fridge, cutlery and crockery. WiFi. 2 single beds. A little bit dusty, rear window very stiff and gets condensation. We are very private away from the main camp. Would of been nice to have the string lights working. Beds are clean and comfortable. Really warm pod (good heating) nice and quiet location. Lovely pond and lots of parkland for the our dogs. Toilet block, showers very clean, hot water. Local camp shop with a selection of essentials. Will book again. Could do with better entry and exit signage.

   great campaign site. Well maintained and friendly staff. We were campaigning in front of the lake with electric hookup. This was our second time camping here. And we have booked again for next year at the same pitch. The amenities are great and all ways cleaner. A nice little shop as well. Very dog friendly. We can't wait for next year already.

   No lights at night toilets a good 5 min walk if fit or a lot longer if in a wheel chair. Ground very uneven and wet - soft their is a charge for electric on top of the £25.00 a night looks like building site . Also the post code take you to a farm half a mile before you can get to the site.

   Fantastic camp site, really friendly, helpful staff. Stayed in one of the pods, which was equipped with kettle (Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Biscuits all supplied free of charge)and it was great. Kitchen facilities several yards away for use if staying in the pods and it was fully equipped. Fabulous fishing and would be great for children to have a go. Lovely showers and great little shop for milk, bread etc. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to returning.

   A quiet site, a bit remote you need to drive to get to anything. Plenty of space on the pitches. A mixture of serviced and electric only pitches suitable for tourers, motor homes and tents. Showers and toilets were looking tired and could do with up dating. Often had to queue to use them. Washing up area. Little shop on site was good. Fishing lakes weren't very big. Can see there are improvements taking place around the site.

   Just spent 2 nights here at pitch 13 it was a family friendly campsite. clean and well equipped for all your needs. Nice lake for fishing or a short walk. You are took to your pitch and explained things. we would return but with electric hook up as it to cold at night. We hired a fire pit which was good and the people who own this site and all the staff who work there are doing an amazing job. Hope to see you all again soon.
