   Stayed for the fireworks weekend in November 25. Not massive professional display but huge fireworks that went on for 30 mins and was better than (or at least as good as) a professional display. Really really big fire. Well marshelled event . Site. Very clean good facilities. Free range kids having fun. Went nice and quiet about 10pm We were grass non hook up. Pitch was open and big enough. The caravan hook up areas have beautiful hedges. This place is large and well kept. We saw litter pickers everyday Didn't use pool or pub so can't comment Toilets clean enough Showers looked clean. Play room clean . Yeah....enjoyed my visit and good fireworks. If we don't find another site for next year I'd be happy to return. Didn't see fishing lake so can't comment

2. Sunflower “Sunflower” ★★★★★

   Just returned from a lovely weekend at Callow top definitely helped by the great weather. We came here in the summer and the park is totally different out of season, so peaceful and quiet. Not for me peak season but so glad I’ve tried it it off peak and will definitely visit again.

   Fantastic 2 night break away from home at this little gem of a site. Really well maintained pitches, reasonable rates, large spaces for trailer tent, clean and well kept shower and toilet blocks too. The kids loved the swimming pool, games room, park and generally being able to just play footy or make friends. I came to visit this site as a child probably about 30 years ago but we won't be leaving it that long to visit again. The staff in the reception and shop were friendly and happy to help, and the shop was reasonably priced too, with a massive variety of items you might need when camping.

   Stayed 4 nights in our campervan, picked a pitch near the amenities which are dated but very clean, the site is well maintained and the location excellent for the Tissington trail. There is a bar on site which is quite expensive but the meals looked nice and plentiful. The pool is good and warm also well maintained. All in all a good stay and would recommend and return.

   Lovely camptite. Very friendly staff. Nice pub on site. Food quite pricey but looked good, burgers and pizza. Its open to full sunshine with no shade but they eventually put a few umbrellas up. Swimming pool nice, not too big but clean. No loungers but some bench tables, again no shade. Small kids pool too that gets very busy, especially at weekends! Good shop that stocks essentials plus some camping gear. Electric hookup extensions are about 30 quid and you may need one as the electric posts are every 3 pitches! Gets very busy at weekends!

   Well placed and beautiful caravan park. Lots of facilities. Shop and pub on site. Didn't use the outside swimming pool but it looked very inviting. Must be great to use in summer. Good pitch sizes. Well maintained site lots of toilet and shower blocks. Laundry and pot washing facilities. That's positives. Negative, the curse of the electric scooters /toys. Serious accident waiting to happen.

   We went to Callow Top mid-september at this time of year the weather was mixed. We used all facilities on site from having pub grub to playing pool in Arnold's bar. My 10-year-old enjoyed the site with its facilities although he would recommend having some swings for children of his age as the play area is suitable for younger children. The swimming pool is heated and provided an excellent pastime. We noticed the fishing pool at the bottom of the hill before the climb to the site, my future visits I will find myself using the pool for a spot of relaxing fishing. Ashbourne is only a short drive away with all amenities required although the site shop is well stocked for all your needs! Reasonably priced we had an hard standing pitch with awning. Also ample camping areas available within the fields. We will be back soon and hopefully we will use the site more often in the coming years!!

   Just returned from a 2 day stay was on field 5 lots of space for tent car etc . The site is well maintenced showers are hot and spacious. Nice little pub and site shop is averagely priced. . The swimming pool is fabulous perfect for my teenage boys. We will be returning very soon

   We visited on the w/e 14/05/22. This was our first time camping as a family with two children under 12. We had a great time and whilst the kids had to adjust to a few days without TV , they had a good time. The pitch we had was a good size and the location (in field 7) was okay; upside is that we had lots of sun and good views - downside, very open to the elements (but hey, it's camping). The location is good and the check in was easy, though I can imagine at very high-season it can be difficult as the management of it is a little lacking. The site itself is easy to get around and the kids loved running around; the play area isn't huge is aimed to younger children. As the weather was amazing for us on the Saturday the pool was brilliant; it was busy though and they could easily double the size and it would still be busy. It was good though and we had some fun. The pub is fine, the menu isn't huge and it's simple; not for healthy food lovers! The majority of the place seems to be managed by young people, they were all very polite and whilst it isn't silver-service, I thought they were great. Overall we liked it a lot and we will definitely go back; of course the weather always helps.
