Fantastic We stayed here from Monday 22nd September 2025 for a week, and everything about it was spot on. The management and staff certainly go out of their way to make your stay perfect. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts. We stayed there as our daughter was getting married on the Thursday, and leaving from the Poppy lodge, they dropped a card and bottle of bubbly off for the bride which was so lovely. On arrival at the lodge you will find a starter pack which consisted of a loaf of bread and a lovely fruit cake from Buckley Bakehouse, they do some fabulous stuff. Also there was some milk, tea, coffee and sugar/sweetner sachets, and a few packs of butter and jam in the fridge. It’s a place away from home, and has everything you need. The hot tub was checked daily, and it was just superb. You even have a dressing gown and slippers. We used to live in Swadlincote and moved down south almost a year ago, and although we knew about knights lodges never had the need to stay here. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend it 100%. So from myself and my family please accept our thanks once again for making our stay as fabulous as it was, and going out of your way in making it special. Kind regards Donna Reeves & Family x

Lodge and views very nice. Lots of free gifts when you arrive. Fruit cake, bread, milk etc was a nice touch. The lodge was starting to look tired and could do with an update. Sofa extremely uncomfortable but bed was comfortable. Lots of items missing no bread knife or scissors as well as other items. As no staff on site, dogs running off lead and causing a nuisance to others. Could definitely be 5 stars but definitely improvement needed.

We had a lovely stay here last weekend for my sister's 40th. The location is rural and beautiful with field and farmland views including beautiful cows. The lodges are really spaced out so it feels really private. We were welcomed into the lodge with a few complimentary gifts which were so lovely. The lodges themselves are immaculate and clean with a hot tub ready and hot to sink into. We had robes and slippers provided too.The communication was great from the team and we felt really looked after. Would definitely recommend and re visit too. Thanks again guys!

A Perfect Peaceful Getaway – Especially for Families Like Ours ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’ve just stayed in one of the lodges at Knights Lodges and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, beautifully kept, and felt like a real home from home. You can tell everything is maintained with real care and attention. What truly stood out for us were the stunning views – peaceful countryside as far as the eye can see. It made for such a calming atmosphere, which was especially important to us as a family with an autistic child. The quiet surroundings and tranquil setting made it the perfect place to relax and unwind without feeling overwhelmed. There are also some lovely places nearby to explore, so whether you want to venture out or just enjoy the lodge and its peaceful setting, it really ticks every box. If you’re looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful location – especially if, like us, you value calm and space – we can’t recommend Knights Lodges enough. We’ll definitely be returning. Fantastic lodges big spacious. This is a fairly newish complex. Beds were comfortable. it would be lovely if the open out lodges with hot tubs had some outside sun loungers, and some sides for the canopy as it was very open to everyone sometimes quite windy. Also 2 of the bedrooms could do with drawers in for your clothes. Just to say this is not a complaint just an observation. Would definitely be booking again. Didn't use the spa centre but it looks beautiful. Had to have the hot tub water changed while we were there they came within the hour and it was emptied, cleaned and refilled straight away and they use hot water to refill so it was up to temperature straight away.

Been 6 times since 2020 and decided to stay in one of the new lodges (Buttercup) for the first time last week. Absolutely stunning lodge with everything you need. I would recommend a wind break is added next to the hot tub to prevent those strong Westerly winds whilst in the tub!

Stayed as a couple with a dog in one of the dog friendly lodges. It has a secure deck outside which is great for cleaning down muddy paws before letting them in. The lodge is very clean and so well equipped, sharp knives, top of the range cooking equipment and even a dishwasher! King sized bed, comfy sofas and a beautiful "welcome pack" on arrival, couldn't ask for any more! Check up text to make sure everything was okay just after arrival and then left alone for the rest of the stay, which is great. We used the hot tub every day which was cleaned & checked by staff every morning and kept at a toasty 40c. Wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend it to everyone I know! Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas & absolutely loved it. We stay away in a cabin every Xmas & this was by far the best one & also the first one where a Christmas tree is in the cabin! Lovely touches such as prosecco, bread & Mince pies. The lodge itself was immaculately clean (silver birch) and very warm inside. The only suggestion would be a door mat as it's slippy coming in after using the hot tub (we had rain!) Will definitely return!!

Absolutely stunning I cannot wait to return. Only thing bed was a little uncomfortable, but otherwise it is a beautiful place to stay with a lovely scenery. Owners very nice checking in via text which is good, its nice that they just leave you to get on with it. Little extras was a nice touch

Lovely lodge break away for 4 nights. Very quiet location, just what we needed. We had a lodge with sauna and hot tub. The contact with staff beforehand was fab and it was all so easy and laid back. The only problem we had were with some big flying bugs!
