“We had a great time here, stayed at a dog friendly cottage which was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Also having the pool was a really nice touch.”
“This was our first stay at Honeysuckle Cottage and everything was to the highest standard. All the added little extras made all the difference. We got not one but two bottles of wine! There was a decent-sized homemade bread and a piece of carrot cake that was delicious. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing. There were also other little extras provided which made the difference and show that Dannah Cottages really do offer luxury. We also visited Dannah Farm for a cooked farmhouse breakfast at no extra cost and we were well fed! The staff were so helpful and friendly and all the cats put a smile on our faces.”
“We love The Dale Cottages, we've just left from our third holiday here and will definitely visit again. The cottage itself is beautiful and the rural location ideal. Inside has everything you could possibly need for a self catering vacation and the enclosed garden is perfect for dogs. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. The Cottages are kept to an exceptionally high standard and are just wonderful overall. We have stayed in various dog friendly places but The Dale Cottages is by far our favourite.”
“We stayed in a beautiful villa in Lake Garda. Holiday Homes in Italy were fantastic to deal with and provided excellent communication and details throughout the booking process. I would definitely use them again.”
“What a splendid Christmas break! We stayed in Cotterill Barn for the holiday, and even Storm Gerrit couldn't dampen our enthusiasm, largely due to the charming cottage, and its excellent facilities. Firstly, it is quiet, peaceful and relaxing, which were our main criteria for a holiday. Secondly, it was well equipped with everything one could need for a home from home. The bedrooms, with their en suite shower rooms, were comfortable, with good beds, mattresses and bed linen, the living room was spacious and snug, and the kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, as well as a good dishwasher and washing machine. It was immaculately clean throughout and very nicely furnished and decorated. The surrounding area is lovely, though the weather precluded much exploring. The local village, Biggin, has a nice pub, the Waterloo, and the towns of Buxton, Matlock, Bakewell and Ashbourne (all well worth a visit) are all within 15 miles of the cottage. The Peaks are just glorious. We will return!”
“We have stayed here a few times now over the last few years. It is absolutely gorgeous. The cottages are beautiful and well equipped for self catering. There is lots to see and do for both adults and children in the area. We’ll definitely be back again!”
“What an amazing place. Spent a weekend here and truly was amazing to experience our stay in the snow. Great place to unwind also has beautiful public footpaths along the canal.”
“Smart, clean and cosy cottage. Owner very nice and helpful. Well suited for trips throughout Derbyshire.”
“wonderful stay, great location. Ideal cosy nook for couples”
“Lovely Lodge in a great location with a fantastic host! Beach Lodge is super convenient for Derby, Burton, Nottingham and Alton-Towers but also quiet with great facilities onsite, pubs, restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and it feels like being somewhere on the coast rather than in the midlands. The lodge itself is well setup with a good kitchen, large rooms and nice furniture. Rob, the owner, is super attentive and provided a really nice check-in experience. Will definitely be back.”
“Really nice place if you have a lot of people to put up. Comfortable sized rooms, lots of space to hang out, good kitchen and dining room. Nice and close to Matlock bath and Cromford.”
“We stayed in The Dairy for 2 nights to celebrate a 35th and a 65th birthday. There were 6 adults (3 couples). We all thought the accommodation was of a high standard and very clean. All the necessary kitchen equipment was provided and we could not think of anything that was missing. The location was perfect and tranquil, with walks and places to visit sign posted. Unfortunately, we did not get to walk to the lake but that is one of our reasons to go back. Ashby is close by and a gorgeous town to explore. We made memories to cherish as a family and are so glad we chose Hastings Retreat.”
“We usually rent our properties to students, but as one of our HMO's did not become available until the middle of the year, whereby students had already reserved their accommodation, Simon stepped in and put Bombardier staff into the property really quickly. Simon manages all aspects of our HMO property. He is a very personable and professional gentleman who is experienced in his role; with a passion for properties and delivers a first-class service.”
“We had a great stay at Tissington Ford Barn recently. The property was spotless, homely, and perfectly located. All of the little touches were much appreciated and we would definitely stay here again!”
“Lovely place to relax, very clean, nice setting.”
“Great place very quiet And peaceful in lovely Seroudings”
“We had a great week staying at Willow Barn. A peaceful location at the end of a long single track road. Plenty to do in the area . The house suited our group of 14, with ages from 16 months to over 70 ! The large kitchen table was ample for everyone to eat together ,and the living area, with lovely comfortable sofas, were wonderful to sit on at the end of the day. The beds were comfortable and whilst perhaps the showers were not the most up to date, they were adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with a full range of great saucepans . As we cooked everyday, this was a real bonus. We hired the hot tub for the whole week and it was a real treat to soak in the hot water with a glass of wine chatting and gazing out over the view. Perhaps a line of plants in pots to provide a small degree of privacy between Willow Barn and the next barn would have been appreciated. One huge bonus was the 'Kids cave' from where the children were allowed to chose toys to play with for the whole week. Definitely a real treat for them. We loved the outdoor field, shame we could not get down to the lake, but plenty of other places to explore. We had a wonderful week of family fun.”
“What an absolutely beautiful place my wife and I have had a lovely time lodge was immaculate you have thought of absolutely everything would encourage anyone to come it’s been an absolute pleasure”
“Tranquil. Well equipped. The children loved the treasure chest which was full of toys, games and puzzles. Highly recommend.”
“Travel Menorca are simply the best Company to book a villa holiday in Menorca. They hand pick the villas they rent. The service they provide is superb with back up should you have any problems. Thoroughly recommended.”
“Great holiday cottage at a great price”
“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Viburnum lodge and the Mercia Marina, which is definitely a unique environment with the combination of the boat activity and the marina plus shops and restaurants. The lodge is a few minutes walk away from the marina and looks out across a pretty little lake with swans and ducks. We saw a beautiful sunset from the deck. The lodge is full of thoughtful touches, and is not just a functional holiday home but a proper 'home from home'. It is furnished to a high standard including lovely comfortable leather sofas and a well equipped kitchen including a proper wine fridge. There were four of us plus our dog and there is plenty of room for everyone. The owners are obviously dog owners and clearly aware of what a dog owner staying away from home will need and there was easy access to nearby dog walking areas and then on to the canal side and further afield. We hired a small canal boat for the day from a marina about half an hours drive away and had a lovely day chugging along the canal, stopping for the obligatory pub lunch and then heading back to base. We saw plenty of bird life including kingfishers, swans, egrets and of course lots of ducks!”
“I have rented my property out through Dove property and could not of had a better experience. Helen and Mark are so great at what they do and such genuine people. The first tenant to view was the one who moved in! Thank you both. Couldn’t recommend your company enough x”
“Booked a villa in Kefalonia, Greece for 8 people for October 2025. Customer service from Solmar was fantastic (thanks Lewis and Ellie). Villa was beautiful and perfect for our big family holiday.”
