We have just come back from a fantastic week away in The Milking Parlour. What can I say, they have thought of everything. It was the heatwave whilst we were there but as it is a stone cottage it was very cool. I would definitely recommend and will book again. Thank you so much.

Stunning cottages, all recently refurbished with superb WiFi coverage and speeds. There are loads of lovely places to visit in the local vicinity too including Hartington, Arbow Low stone circle, the Donkey Sanctuary, lots of countryside walks and plenty more. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway as you'll be tucked away from society whilst also being so close to lots of things to do. I love this part of the Peak District.

Situated in beautiful scenery down a quiet country lane these cottages are great for a little getaway. We stayed in The Granary, we had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfortable with fab views across the rolling hills and fields.

What a splendid Christmas break! We stayed in Cotterill Barn for the holiday, and even Storm Gerrit couldn't dampen our enthusiasm, largely due to the charming cottage, and its excellent facilities. Firstly, it is quiet, peaceful and relaxing, which were our main criteria for a holiday. Secondly, it was well equipped with everything one could need for a home from home. The bedrooms, with their en suite shower rooms, were comfortable, with good beds, mattresses and bed linen, the living room was spacious and snug, and the kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, as well as a good dishwasher and washing machine. It was immaculately clean throughout and very nicely furnished and decorated. The surrounding area is lovely, though the weather precluded much exploring. The local village, Biggin, has a nice pub, the Waterloo, and the towns of Buxton, Matlock, Bakewell and Ashbourne (all well worth a visit) are all within 15 miles of the cottage. The Peaks are just glorious. We will return!

Stayed at Millstone which was a lovely little holiday cottage with all amenities. The space was good and the beds comfortable. All appliances etc worked well. But overall it just had a lovely feel - comfortable and welcoming. The landlady is lovely (even when you mess up your booking dates!) and helpful. Yes the internet is intermittent but you are in the middle of beautiful isolated countryside and most of the nice bits of the Peak District are exactly the same. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful location, out in open countryside. Stayed in the Dairy, clean and welcoming with nice mezzanine bedroom, well stocked kitchen and good sized bathroom with a decent shower. Only lost a star because the wifi and phone signal was poor or non existent, but then it is out in open countryside.

Lovely location surrounded by fields of sheep. Not the most comfortable cottage we've ever stayed in. The double bed was shoehorned into a small bedroom. There wasn't a comfy chair in the place unless you like very deep sofas. The table and chairs were squeezed in under the staircase.

Great location for walking and cycling with nearby access to the Tissington Trail. Stunning views from the cottages which are well furnished. This is the second time we have stayed here.
