Had a wonderful two night stay this week, with an apartment which had so much from multiple TVs, an oven with plug in hob and fridge/freezer, We felt very comfortable and relaxed during our time there. The only criticism was the bed wasn't the most easiest to sleep in sadly but apart from that everything else was great!

My two room apartment was spacious, well appointed but tired and in desperate need of decorating. Everything was clean but paint flaking off here and there and the feeling of the rooms is a bit clinical. Some tasteful wall decor, maybe an odd vase or ornament here and there would have cheered up the feel of the place.

A very pleasant stay recently for work, a comfy homely room and fantastic breakfast service! The staff even went above and beyond by packing me a takeaway breakfast on my last day since I was leaving very early - it was hugely appreciated and I can’t thank them enough! If you are working or holidaying in this area of the Peaks - this hotel is the perfect spot!!

Well worth the price! The beds and rooms were clean and comfy, the breakfast was great, and the people running it were lovely. They even had a bar with some good draft options (just need to stock up on ice)! Would definitely stay again next time we go Alton Towers or stepping stones.

Went on a weekend of walking with friends. Set in the Peak District, backing onto the Tissington Trail, this was ideal. If you're looking for the Ritz, look elsewhere. If you want a friendly place with good food and access to good walking country, this is it.

We stayed in one of the 1-bedroom cottages (the hotel appeared to be closed for the winter) and it had all you would need for thd weekend (inc an oven , microwave and dual plate induction hob) it wasn't over large but not too small.

We are quite fussy/critical on places that we stay and have high standards. This place was fantastic. The room was large and very clean. As was the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. It's a big hotel but the whole place had a really homely feel about it. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place and if in the area, will definitely stay again. Complete 5*'s for this place, I really enjoyed my stay here.
