“This booking was made through Booking.com, however I wish it was made directly through Dorset Cottage Holidays. The day of checking I had called to confirm if it was self check in as I didn't receive any instructions. The email was sent from Booking.com stating a PIN code which I thought was the key safe. However when we got to the property we couldn't get in due to having incorrect key safe code. I was with 2 little children and despite calling Booking.com they weren't able to help us. Then they cancelled the booking & asked us to find another place, it was around 10pm then. My children were tired and hungry and it wasn't pleasant. However we managed to get through to Blake who was managing the property who provided us the correct code and we managed to get in. Then tried to notify Booking.com by then they told us they had taken another booking for following day. Which was more stressful considering there was 10 of us. Once again Blake reassured that he would sort it for us, which he did and I'm so thankful. The property was beautiful and spacious and if anyone is looking to get away to have some much needed rest, I would highly recommend you stay there. Perfect for families. This all happened on my birthday but thank you Blake for sorting the booking for us.”

“We have just stayed here for two nights (2 adults and two children aged 1 & 4). The hotel is lovely. Nice big room with a small kitchen and also a cot for our little one. The breakfasts were delicious and the hotel was only 20-25 mins from Paultons Park which we spent two days at. It was ideal! Special shoutout to the manager, Justine, who went out of her way each day to make my little girls feel special. From sprinkles on the hot chocolate to a complimentary ice cream, she really went above and beyond and it was so appreciated!”

She was is an excellent agent and is very professional. The house was lovely and within 3 days I had signed the lease and moved in. Excellent company and excellent staff.”

“We stayed for a week at 7 Elmhurst and had a wonderful time. The apartment was beautifully clean and was very nicely furnished throughout . The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were very comfortable as were the chairs and settees. The flat is on the first floor and is one of about ten or eleven apartments in the building: other residents that we met were polite and considerate and there was very little noise whether in the day or night. There is a lift (which is handy) and the communal areas are neat and very well kept. The flat is perfectly situated between Sandbanks and Bournemouth and it is about a 3 minute walk to the beach. We loved it here and will definitely be staying again very soon. I must add that the booking process and customer service through Bournemouth Beaches was first class and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for your holiday or this company to look after you.”

The property is dog friendly with a secure private rear garden. We had a lovely welcome pack for us and the dogs waiting for us on arrival. We can not wait to come back next year!”

“We stayed here for a short break as a base to visit the New Forest. It's a lovely comfortable, modern cottage with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The cottage sleeps 5 and is spread over 3 floors. There is off-road parking for two cars. A village shop and pub is nearby and there is a well provisioned co-op supermarket a short drive away. Thoroughly recommend Buttercup Cottage as a place to stay.”

“Recently stayed to celebrate my partners birthday, the cabin we stayed in was called oak log cabin and it was lovely. Our stay was fantastic, the cabin was clean, tidy and had everything you could of needed such a fridge, toaster, kettle, hair dryer etc. Hot tub was lovely and so was the pool, although there are other cabins around and other guests it felt very secluded. Cabin was the perfect size of two, was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bathroom and that there was a sectioned off breakfast table and fridge area. Breakfast in the cabin was cereals, toast and juices which was nice, lots of information provided regarding local places to eat. I had put a note on the booking to say it was my partners birthday so when we arrived there were a few birthday decorations which was a nice touch. Owners were very friendly and had gone the extra mile providing things like dvds, cards and games in the cabin for free use. Wi-Fi was provided which was a bonus as phone signal was non existent. A very relaxing stay and would love to return”

There was a hiccup with a wrong outstanding balance being quoted but very quickly corrected. The team always responded fast to my enquiries. “I’ve just spent 10 days at West Bay cottages in Yarmouth Isle of Wight. We had a three bedroomed house and it was beautiful, the decor and furnishings were really good and the bed…I wanted to bring home with me. I’d like us you are looking for a lovely quiet holiday, in beautiful surroundings then this is the place for you. Toni Stokes in the Wight staycation office is totally brilliant! Nothing is too much trouble and she just makes everything work, ferries, where to eat you name it she’s on it. Thanks West Bay another great holiday oh and did I mention the Red Arrows fly bys!”

“A great place to visit with family, lodges and caravans well equipped. Would recommend a hot tub. Alpaca walk really good and also children's off roading experience. Would recommend the fighting cocks pub for meals and breakfast need to book as gets busy only 10 mins walk and big car park. Lovely walks with free car parks to see horses, deer, ponies”

“Very clean and tidy 2 bedroom first floor flat. Modern kitchen and comfortable lounge diner. Location is not as per Google maps which shows it next to the King's Head pub, it's 5 doors down from where Google maps says it is opposite Lymington mobiles.”
