We stayed at Woodland Cottage for a week What a fantastic place Well equipped cottage and decorated to a high standard and style that really suits the cottage Brilliant for adults and children plenty to do in its own garden and Woodland. The hosts Mark and Natasha are very friendly and very helpful I would definitely recommend staying at any of the cottages they hosts for there.

I lost my opportunity to review on Air bnb so reviewing here as I think it deserves a review. The house was very nice! It has a spacious feel to it and is nicely furnished. The kitchen and downstairs areas are particularly lovely as they’re very well equipped, they even had knife a knife sharpener which impressed me. The kitchen is very modern whilst the other adjoining areas are quaint and rustic but eclectic. The striking thing is that it all backs onto woodlands with access from the garden. You can also access the beach through the garden through a little wooden gate! You also have views to the sea which we loved. The parking was great, space for 2 normal sized cars directly out front but more space a 1 minute walk if you needed it. The other amazing thing is that the house is a 4 minute drive from the ferry! I’d highly recommend this house if you want to be close to nature and need some peace. The only reason for 4 stars was the bed linen. They were clean but a bit tired looking. Also the laundry liquid used wasn’t very nice. Ideally white bed linen and white towels would be perfect.

We've stayed here a year ago and loved it so much we decided to return this year, August 2022. However on this occasion, the cottage wasn't as clean. The chest of drawers/dresser had been overlooked and had hairs all over it. Hair and dust on the headboard. Dusty bedside lamps. The shower had mold, which we spent a while scrubbing off. Bathroom hand towel had stains. We were there for a week and unfortunately couldn't relax and enjoy it properly in the above mentioned condition.

We stayed in Solent Cottage (No 11 -next to the the larger Woodland cottage). The Cottage had everything you could possible have needed and more. Everything worked and the beds we so cozy & comfortable really could not fault a thing. The location is perfect with a short work into Yarmouth (15 minute)- you could stay here with out the need for a car. The views from the cottage we perfection looking out over the solent and we enjoyed a near perfect sunny week. Cafe and bar right on your doorstep as well (the boathouse cafe is right at the bottom of the garden if you fancy a glass of wine ora lovely cooked breakfast). Plus another cafe at the Fort 2 minute walk away. We totally self catered the whole week and fully tested the kitchen out and nothing I could think of was not provided. FULLY Equipped even a gas BBQ. The cottage also has a garden at the both the front and back with seating available for a sunny spot all day. Perfect I could not recommend this property enough and the instant response to questions from us, from Mark the managing agent (who arranged a discount ferry booking for us), was fantastic from start to finish.

Beautiful house, beautiful location. The house is large, elegant and comfortable. The garden is just stunning. The children really enjoyed running free. I loved watching the garden wildlife when the garden was quiet. Loads of great bird watching. We stayed at the large house at the end of the service road.

The reason for 1 star....we booked this terraced cottage for 11th May for a week for a post operative and wedding anniversary chill out, we took our little dog as always. The accommodation is not a true reflection on their website description and the photos are very misleading and a 5 star location is not a true statement. Upon arrival there appeared to be around 20 2 up 2 down terraced cottages with a ( not mentioned service road running the full length of the cottages ) inside we found it cold & dark and small, with an unmentioned Downstairs bathroom which was not mentioned on the website which was difficult for me in particular as I'm disabled with mobility issues and the stairs are very steep and angled and impossible for me to manage. There was no enclosed garden apart from a large communal one which had a dozen or so kids bikes etc and it looked like gypsy travellers had just packed up and left, also a tiny patio in an awful state, bare wires rusted fencing, and a bbq full of water. The kitchen door opens onto the unmentioned service road which if you have kids/ dogs is very dangerous as a local resident told us her dog had been run over and killed recently. The garden across the service road is not the same one shown on their website and is not enclosed. We emailed the owner who replied " I would never let the cottage to a disabled person " so why don't you mention that on your website Mark / Natasha ? also why did you not offer us one of your other 6 properties? Instead you let an elderly disabled person travel all the way back to Milton Keynes, you really dont care at all about your guests, you are in the wrong business if thats how you treat your guests its just the money that is all you seem to care about .There isn't anything stating unsuitable for disabled people anywhere..We were promised a full refund and have the email to prove this but guess what ? despite not staying at the cottage as we left and drove back to Milton Keynes the same day they are now refusing to refund the £700 ish as promised all because of a review we left...AVOID AT ALL COSTS AS IT'S NOT WHAT THEY ADVERTISE AND YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED...shame on the pair of you! !!!

I would definitely recommend these cottages. The booking process was quick and easy and the information provided before our arrival and while we were there was extremely useful in helping us make the best of our time on the island. The cottage we had felt homely, was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location and views were amazing. We will be back!
