“4 night break exploring the area. Nice and central to get to various places including some lovely walks and exploring Leek. Accommodation is great with everything you need to prepare your own meals or eat out. Everything clean and well decorated. Our only problem was the lack of a teapot but this was rectified at once by the owner. Would definitely recommend but do watch the stone walls as you turn in.”

“We had a perfect experience staying in this house for a month while a close relative was in hospital at the Royal Stoke. It's a 10min walk to the hospital, 5mins to amenities in Hartshill and surprisingly short walk to Newcastle too. Truestays were great hosts, responding quickly to pictures of minor maintenance issues and sent someone round to fix them immediately. We only flagged them for deposit reasons but they were quickly put right. Definitely recommend. House was comfortable, modern, great shower and a nice quiet area.”

“Wonderful location close to the trams and grocery stores. The suite was large with two bedrooms (and ensuites) on opposite sides of the living area. The kitchen was stocked adequately with dishes and pots/pans for making some meals and also has a washing machine/drying rack for laundry. It was clean and comfortable. However, we did wish the bed was a bit harder. While the bedrooms are large there isn't much floor space for larger suitcases. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend.”

“We (The Travelling Pig Event Catering Company) catered for a wedding at Blithfield Lakeside Barns on Saturday 20th September 2025, and what an amazing venue. Alex and staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout the day, and we couldn't have wished for a better venue for our catering needs. It is the perfect place for family and friends to gather for any special occasion. Highly recommend”

“Hamps Barn is an absolutely charming place to stay. The setting is peaceful in the Peaks, the barn itself is beautifully maintained and has lovely decorations. We had a wonderful stay for an 80th birthday party! Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.”

“We stayed here on our family holiday and the location is absolutely stunning with plenty of beautiful countryside to explore. The site has a nice small family swimming pool operating a booking system for all the apartments on site which allows you 1-2 hours use each day. There is also a sports court that can be used for various activities and a toddlers play area both of which also need to be booked hourly. The apartment we stayed in was for up to 10 people and had plenty of room including a nice sized lounge, dining room and a snug that the kids enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked with all the usual refinements you might need during your stay including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and two full size ovens. The property has some nice quirks which always makes for an interesting stay. If we are ever back in the area I would gladly stay again.”

“we've just had 5 nights on their CL site it's a lovely site with large pitches with ehu to each grass pitch. they have recycling for all items including food waste which we love to be able to do. Hens coming free at times and like to come and say hello..shower and toliet facilities are good and clean. lots of places to visit near by and good if you are happy for a short walk into Malpas.”

“Had such an amazing stay at Hilltop Hideaway! The hut was amazing and had everything we needed and was the cosiest place to stay. The views were amazing and the surrounding area was lovely to walk around. Laura was amazing and so helpful and accommodating throughout. We would definitely recommend staying here! “I had an amazing long weekend at the hideaway, with children 1 night and friends for 3 night's, the facilities were brilliant, the hot tub, towels, washing facilitates. The walk was beautiful around the lake and the boat was a fantastic bonus. All of the little extra special details milk, butter, bread, cakes, wine made the stay soo much more pleasurable. The views from the bedrooms were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.”

I couldn't get the Netflix to work but there were a good stock of DVD's, jigsaws, games etc to entertain. Every fitting and fixture seemed carefully chosen for comfort and style.
