Lovely place for a weekend away with friends. Property furnishings looking a bit tired and mattress in downstairs room very soft and uncomfortable. Overall, a clean and comfortable house, that was great for our yearly girls weekend away!

This is our second stay here. Great experiences both times. Hosts live on site so on hand if you need them. All the cottages are ample sized. Really enjoy the hot tubs. The pig, rabbits and horses on the farm are lovely and we enjoyed them. Great shared garden area for kicking a ball around. Nice courtyard around the front which has the sun later in the day. Nice stroll into the village of about a mile and lots of lovely countryside walks as well.

Great small holding farm, clean quiet spacious cottage for 9 no probs ! Owners are very welcoming & nothing a trouble. Great location for Alton towers & the peaks. Small animals & a shared garden space for the kids with swings etc

I was there for a three day family get together. The connectivity was non existent. Inside, there was no telephone signal And the WiFi did not work. Despite repeated requests it was not fixed. Some of us needed to do some work which was impossible. I am not planning to stay here again.

The rooms were pretty grubby. Could really do with a good clean and new sheets for the beds. The lady who owns the cottages was very friendly but not so much the gentleman who showed us what we can't do on arrival or the lady that waters the plants. Beautiful location with lots to do nearby.

Stayed in Pine cottage which is the biggest with two other families. (12 in total) It was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The only bathroom with a shower that worked was the downstairs on-suite to the bedroom which is directly off the kitchen. The water pressure is sketchy upstairs which means you either have to run a bath or kneel in the bath and try to chuck the water over your head with a plastic jug from the kitchen which is less than ideal and not what you expect. The internet barely works and there is no mobile phone signal so you can’t do the research for the local attractions easily although you are well situated for a lot of local sites and attractions. There is no decent local electric car charging in the area and none on site, so I had to trickle charge a couple of times off the cottage to get a few miles for excursions. At checkout time there was a demand for recompense out of the blue, which considering we were charged £120 extra for access to a hot tub for the duration of the stay was a bit cheeky. (The car used £3 in electricity!) It’s a cheaper cottage to book but there is a reason it’s cheaper. Will look for something better next time.

Had a good stay over Xmas. Lots of local walks and horses near by. Owners also let kids hold rabbits and Guinea pigs. We stayed in Cedar. Inside a bit dated but did everything it needs too. Beds comfy and managed to cook Xmas dinner!

The cottages are in a beautiful setting with lovely friendly hosts. Great location for visiting Alton Towers! We found the cottage to be very tired and in need of some TLC and updating! It smelt musty/of cigarette smoke and was pretty dusty too. We only stayed two nights so it wasn't a huge problem.
