Hamps Barn is an absolutely charming place to stay. The setting is peaceful in the Peaks, the barn itself is beautifully maintained and has lovely decorations. We had a wonderful stay for an 80th birthday party! Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

34 of us, with ages ranging from 21 to 70, have recently enjoyed a fantastic weekend staying at Hamps Hall and Barn. The venue was perfect for a large group with excellent facilities, large lounge and dining rooms, comfortable bedrooms, ideally suited for internal and external games, good pub less than half a mile walk away, and excellent location for walks in the Peak District. Would also highly recommend the Dinner Party Company who prepared, cooked, served(and cleared up) a fantastic 3 course dinner on site on the Saturday evening.

I would highly recommend this place to everybody, I had the best experience, I stayed one night for a girls night in. every room was clean, Beds were really comfy also, the rooms had plenty of storage if you wanted to put clothes away or any other little bits. The showers and toilet was clean. There wasn’t any grime anywhere. The kitchens were clean. There was plenty of cutlery and cups and plates. The views from here were amazing And if you catch a morning where it is sunny, it looks beautiful The hot tubs were my favourite, They have two also have benches and plenty of outdoor space, there was also a barbecue, but we didn’t use, Overall, this was an amazing stay.

My (now) husband and I hosted our wedding at Hamps Hall and Barn at the end of April. We chose to have a registry office wedding in our hometown in Norfolk during the week and then host a celebration with our family and friends in the Peak District at the weekend. The house itself was a perfect back drop for our celebration. We hosted our ceremony outside and sat 62 guests in the courtyard style side garden. We were then able to sit all our guests in the dining room, use the beautiful rear garden with the festoon lighting for games in the late afternoon and then clear the dining room for the dance floor in the evening. Our wedding itself was a very low-key casual affair but it was absolutely perfect for us. The house itself is beautiful and perfect for hosting. We had just short of 40 people stay and it was perfect because between the setting up people could go for walks, pub lunches and explore. It was very well kitted out, with everything you could need in the kitchen! Our contact was very helpful and helped with every question we had. We couldn’t recommend this house anymore if we tried!

Highly recommended as location for large stag do. Just organised my brother's there and was spot on. Loads of room, great facilities and couple of pubs within walking distance. Big thanks to Chris and team.

Had a lovely stay here with most of our extended family. Its huge, like a maze the kids absolutely loved it! Hot tubs are great, only complaints, no mattress for provided travel cot & the room with the fire escape nesr the main kitchen was freezing in the night and the radiator had turned off so our baby kept waking up cold. Luckily the room opposite was free so we moved there for the last 2 nights. Other than that, it was fantastic!

My family and I hired Hamps Barn for our family Christmas. It was a fantastic venue for all of us to be able to spend Christmas together. The only suggestion I have, is for another fridge as we struggled to store all of our food. It would also be good if there was another TV maybe in the dining room. These are minor issues as we had the best time and would definitely recommend Hamps Barn. Any questions I had prior to our visit were very promptly responded to by Chris and we had all the necessary info we needed before arriving. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary equipment to enable us to cook our Christmas dinner. We were able to walk to the pub nearby for a Christmas Eve drink before we played our own Murder Mystery game, which went down a storm. There were also 2 gift bags full of goodies waiting for us when we arrived from Partyhouses, which was a lovely touch, thank you. Memories of our family Christmas 2022 will be with us forever, thank you x

Great venue for a budget corporate event if you don’t mind catering for yourselves. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room and cosy.
