“Spent a superb long weekend here, the cottages were cosy, clean and very well stocked in games and puzzles with full amenities for home cooked meals. Beautiful location with easy access for great hiking trails. Would definitely recommend!!”

“AMAZING!! I booked The old Parlour and Cow Shed to come with some of my closest friends to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The barns are beautiful and they have thought of all the tiny details. The bath house toiletries in particular smell incredible! They provided milk, tea and coffee to get us started as well as bath robes. We chose to add a booking on with Georgie and Co who came to the barns to provide us all with treatments.It was the best massage I’ve had in quite some time! I would highly recommend booking if you want to add some relaxation to your stay. I can’t wait to visit again! x”

“Amazing little guest house. Room was very clean complimentary shower gel and shampoo was a nice little suprise. Room was very well equipped with hair dryer ironing board and good wifi connection. Perfect location for exploring ilam park and Thorpe Cloud and the Roaches. Also near Haddon Hall Chatsworth House and Bakewell just a short 30 min drive away. Hosts were lovely and breakfast was amazing. I am a celiac and they were more than happy to cater for me. Leek itself is a lovely little market town with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs and nice independent shops which was very refreshing. Would definately recommend and would stay again.”

“Me and my puppy completed the puppy school course with Steve. The course was very enjoyable, structured lessons delivered in a way that was easy to understand. My pup is also booked in for home boarding for a couple of weeks in August and had her assessment day last week. She had a great time and was exhausted afterwards. Steve and Maria are lovely and it is very clear they have a passion for what they do.”

“In April 2024 we decided to sell our lovely home and follow our dream of retiring somewhere more rural. We approached three local estate agents to visit the house and chose Josh from Royal Fox. Right from our first meeting he was enthusiastic, positive and loved the house. Who better to sell it for us? The marketing was fabulous and really showcased our house with some lovely photos. We had lots of viewings and quickly received an offer which we accepted. Unfortunately our buyers sale fell through and we were back on the market. We then had a second and third sale all fall through all due to their chain collapsing and were becoming despondent. During this process Josh, Nige and Linda kept us informed of every development, remained upbeat and confident that we would secure a sale that would complete and finally we did. At one point we were in Northwich on unrelated house sale business and bumped into Nige. He recognised us immediately, came over and had a chat and knew exactly where we were up to with our sale. I doubt any other agent would have been as clued up and we commented on how much better a local, smaller agency suited us. Throughout the process of selling our home Josh remained the voice of calm, keeping us updated weekly, ensuring any questions were dealt with quickly and really going above and beyond what we would have expected from an estate agent. He remained professional throughout but we definitely felt that during the process we became friends. “I use for boarding for my (rescue) pet crow. The bird room is kept impeccably clean and all the cages are spotless and cleaned for each user. Steve can manage specific dietary requirements (a crow is a lot different to a parrot!). Have no worries using again (already had two visits this year). Many thanks.”

“We stayed at the Lamb Guest Inn as part of a wedding party. It was my husband, one year old daughter, and I. The hosts were more than genuine and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we not only had everything us adults needed, but our daughter as well. They provided a pack n’ play for her to sleep in, a high chair at breakfast, and even provided special lacto free milk for her. Everything was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was homemade to order. Some of the best food we had during our whole stay in London. The location is an easy, safe walk to all the downtown bars, restaurants, supermarket, etc. It honestly felt like we were at my grandparents house the way they took care of us. I would definitely highly recommend and look forward to hopefully staying here again.”

“I would highly recommend this cattery. We had already booked a different cattery for our 2 cats, Holly and Larry, 10 days before we were due to go on holiday, Holly fractured her pelvis and we needed to find another cattery who could accommodate her needs and this place did that. Andrea was wonderful, and we felt fully confident leaving both our cats. Holly needed cage rest and medication throughout the day. We were in constant communication for updates, Andrea and family was responsive and we felt nothing was too much trouble. Pictures were sent to us and both cats were relaxed. “We stayed here on a fully serviced pitch in our own tourer. Such beautiful site in lovely surroundings, so well kept and with luxury shower, toilet and washing facilities. The little shop has a few essentials to keep you going. It also has firepits to hire so you can spend a cozy evening around the fire. The owners are so helpful, kind and friendly. Its a short walk to Hulme end where you will find a lovely country pub (The Manifold) which serves lovely food and drinks. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely be back again.”
