We had a group meal here following a hike, very welcoming atmosphere. Roaring fire. Food was served on hot plates and was delicious. Staff were efficient and friendly.

Stayed in the locality and visited the pub twice with our two dogs. Both days we had some of the best pub meals we've ever had. Great menu, great food. Great atmosphere, great staff. Worth booking as its very very popular, I can see why. We just turned up off the cuff. However, they found us a table without an issue. Try the pub out. You won't be disappointed.

We were a party of four for a an evening meal and drinks. We absolutely loved the setting of this pub, and the décor, and the atmosphere, and the neatness and cleanliness of it all, it just radiated warmth, and you felt very welcome! The waitress was charming and efficient, the draught beer superb, and the food was terrific! I just wished that I lived nearer rather than 5 hours drive away!

Stumbled across this gem of a pub located near our campsite. Food delicious with generous portions, welcoming, helpful staff fitted us in on a reserved table that was empty for a couple of hours. Highly recommend shame we don’t live nearer!

An absolute hidden gem and my absolute favourite pub in all of Derbyshire. Always a pleasure to go to and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Lovely log fire and an amazing atmosphere, the beer and food are spectacular. If you have never been then I would recommend you go there and visit. Dog friendly too, always a bonus.

Such an adorable pub with indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome. We had the steak and kidney pie which was very hearty. The brie, bacon and cranberry on baguette was also very good. Update - Sunday Roast is great and pub quiz night is a lot of fun.

This is a one of our favourite places in the Peak District, its very welcoming and the real ales are always on top form. The choice of food on the menu is great, and we always find something yummy to eat. Parking can be a bit tight but it's OK if you're careful. I recommend this place but please book if you want a table and a great night out

I recently went for lunch with three friends. We had a lovely time. The pub is very welcoming and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is great and they had no problem with catering for gluten free. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Came here for dinner one night as were staying in a cottage down the road. Husband rang up and they reserved us a table. Arrived and Justin explained everything and we ordered our drinks. We then ordered the food. It came out piping hit and tasted delicious!! I has the lasagne and my husband had a burger which was on the specials board. We were both so full we couldn't manage a pudding, gutted as they all sounded amazing. All the team were really friendly and helpful. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Super little hidden gem of a pub. Justin the landlord is very welcoming and there is an exceptional menu of good home cooked food. Best steak and kidney pie I have had in ages. It’s not big so it is wise to book ahead.
