I'm spending Christmas at Kenwood hall, and have loved the experience. I always come here for a break when I am in Sheffield, and with spending Christmas alone, Kenwood hall was my first thought. They have made me feel so welcome and there has always been someone to chat to from the staff if I felt I needed company. During Christmas lunch I was sitting by the kitchen and everyone kept checking on me. The table I had in the corner made me feel part of the event without feeling awkward about being alone. The food was lovely, and really filling. I was well looked after and made to feel special. There was no pressure to join in, or do anything I didn't want to. Nothing was too much stress. I had a lovely room looking over the grounds, and enjoyed being able to wander and take photos in the afternoon. It is a special place where it is equally a high quality hotel and a family feel where you can be comfortable to be yourself. I'm going to be booking for next year! A special shout out to Hollie, Ramim and Elise for their friendly and warm manner. I enjoyed pulling my Christmas cracker with Sonia and loved her checking in when she went past my table at lunch. The quiz with Kezziah was lovely and a good end to the day. I would love to see a Christmas eve get together for any single people staying at Christmas if there are a few of us, it would be a nice thing to know some guests if others wanted to.

Stayed for Christmas on residential package including Christmas lunch. Exceptional friendly service with a very warm welcome on xmas day from Nicky who took the time to speak to all of the guests. Also Kez working behind the Lakeside bar was very friendly throughout our stay and always had a smile and warm welcome. A great Christmas all round. Highly recommend the patio rooms for staying with dogs as have direct access to the extensive grounds. Facial Spa treatment was very good. All round super stay.

Booked DB&B via wowcher for a quick getaway. Warm welcome on check in with Nicky & co. Explained where everything is and facilities on site. Room clean but furniture tired looking and in need of TLC. The evening meal although smaller menu than other hotels of thus size was exceptional. Highly recommend the Yorkshire Fish cake starter. Wish I'd ordered it, had to steal a taste of the husbands. Sorry forgot pictures of main course!! Comfy bed in warm rooms. Paid short visit to spa area before checking out. Only small but good to sat inclusive of the price. Ps also dog friendly hotel.

We recently stayed here for a one night, and there was some error on our part with the booking when we arrived late on the Friday evening. However, the hotel staff were very understanding and was able to sort the issue out very quickly for us, which was greatly appreciated after a four hour journey to get to the hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the rooms are very spacious and relaxing. Breakfast also had a great choice and selection of foods. All the staff were very friendly throughout our visit here.

I was pretty happy, nice big room with a fridge, coffee machine and a balcony. Internet was good room was clean and tidy. Ample parking and the staff were friendly, sorted an issue with my food quickly. There's a gym on site pretty small, but you can get a workout in it. Pool as well, although I never used it, but it seemed to be decent. Food wasn't bad good selection. All in all worth a stay, I would have no issues going back. As I say again the staff were pleasant and helpful so that's half the battle.

Our visit here wasn't for a pleasurable reason but the service we received made the whole experience immeasurably more positive. This isn't the most luxurious hotel you'll see, its decor is dated and tired in places but the welcome you'll receive, the smiles and the genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service that we experienced from all staff members make this a hotel we absolutely want to come back to. The location is fantastic, the grounds stunning, rooms spacious and clean, beds comfy, the food was excellent and well priced and it's dog friendly. Thank you!

I attended a day only work event here. The conference room facilities were good. It's a handy location, close enough to the city for people on public transport, but far enough out for a reasonable amount of car parking. It would have rated higher, but there was a mess up with our booking, meaning we had a smaller room than planned. Refreshment breaks were well catered for and the lunch was good.

The room was atrocious value for money. I booked online early to attend a wedding. It looked as though I was booking direct with the hotel but it turned out it was through a third party. I paid £431 for a standard double room for two nights. A fellow wedding guest paid £150 approx for a luxury double suite for one night. And my booking didn’t even include breakfast, which you would expect to be covered by the vastly inflated price. The room was gloomy and dark. There was only one bedside lamp but another was provided when I pointed out the omission. What’s wrong with central ceiling lights these days? There was a desk provided but no light to see by. The staff were friendly. The wedding rooms and service were fine. But I wouldn’t recommend Kenwood Hall.
