We have just stayed at Days Inn Sheffield (at M1 Woodall Services). Firstly, I need to give a shout to the reception staff. They were very friendly and did everything they could to help us. We had initially booked one room for one night for ourselves, and our nephew had booked another room for the following night, but we realised that the check in/out times would not suit with our necessity for a base for the day. We explained the situation to reception and within minutes had come up with a solution to help and made things very smooth! The place itself is a little dated and tired looking inside, and could definitely do with a touch of TLC and a bit of paint. But with the exception of a few high level cobwebs in the room, and the odd bit of black on the bathroom sealant, it was clean and comfortable enough. The room was warm enough, and was equipped with heating, a fan and kettle, and iron was available from reception. The hotel is situated at the site of a motorway service station, but despite this the room was quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep, and the main motorway service area was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel reception, giving everything we needed including food in the evening and a breakfast. This stay did everything we needed it to, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing stay and no response from management I stayed at Days Inn Sheffield South on 6th November(Room 15) and had a very disappointing experience. The room was extremely cold, and when I asked at reception if the heating could be adjusted, I was told it couldn’t be changed. The noise from the motorway was also very loud, making it hard to sleep. I asked to move to a quieter room on the other side of the building, but the receptionist said the hotel was full — even though I could still see rooms available to book online. When I asked if I could cancel and get a refund so I could stay elsewhere, I was told there was no manager available to authorise it. I emailed the hotel afterwards to explain what happened, but my message was completely ignored, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I expected a comfortable night before a long day of travel, but instead the stay was uncomfortable and poorly handled. Very let down by both the service during the stay and the lack of follow-up from management.

This a service station hotel, Breakfast is in the main service area and is poor. The rooms are only cleaned every 3 days. Water in the shower is hot ,pressure is good. There are better hotels nearby , would not use again.

If there were any ratings below zero, that's what this establishment would be worth! I don't recommend the rooms on the ground floor, it's not safe, they overlook a parking lot! There are no grilles on the windows and the curtains are very thin, you can hear the cars and all the noises from outside. Drunk customers who disturbed for hours by shouting, insulting, moving objects in the room above. The night porter couldn't do anything, he came up twice, and couldn't change my room. as The hotel was full, the hotel is very poorly soundproofed, you can hear everything. But the worst thing is the state of the room (refuse room 01), the carpet is stained, the baseboards are black, full of mold and fungus, and there are cobwebs everywhere. You sleep in a poorly cleaned room, walk on a moldy, stained, unsanitary carpet; it's disgusting and repulsive. It's impossible to sell a room in this state if you have a commercial conscience.

I was a little bit dubious about it being a motorway hotel, and i was wrong. The hotel was bright and airy, the staff on reception were warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy and clean. There was a bath and shower Coffee and tea were available. The hotel was close enough to the services to have a walk there. I had taken the wrong charger for my phone. The receptionist was very helpful and let me borrow a charger. I didn't get her name but she was amazing. The hotel was busy but was quiet. Breakfast was available to purchase from the services. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

A little less upmarket than other big brands but a comfortable clean room. TV a bit small and motorway a bit noisy if you want windows open at night (but it didn't keep us awake!). Otherwise quiet. Good powerful hot shower.

Located at on the motorway services the facilities are basic but what you expect from a hotel chain. The is food available from the services but it is expensive. Only thing it would be good to have clarification on is use of the service rd into the services as we had mixed feedback about using this entrance.

Cheap and cheerful. Rooms are clean with your own bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities to. They provide shower gel and hand soap. By far the best, was the wonderful Jackie on reception. What a star! Very friendly and very helpful.
