The Worst Management I Have Ever Experienced The management at this hotel is absolutely disgraceful. Rude, arrogant, and completely out of touch with what hospitality even means. They treat people like they are doing them a favour just by speaking to them. No warmth, no professionalism, just cold, dismissive attitudes and constant defensiveness. They talk down to both guests and staff, creating a toxic atmosphere that is impossible to ignore. You can feel the tension the moment you walk in. No smiles, no greetings, just blank stares and unhelpful responses. When you try to raise a concern, they either argue, ignore you, or make you feel like you are the problem. It is clear that this place is run by people who should never be in charge of anything customer facing. The level of disrespect and lack of accountability is shocking. Their attitude alone is enough to make you want to leave immediately. Avoid at all costs. Until this management is replaced, nothing will change. No amount of renovation or rebranding can fix leadership this bad.

Very homely hotel. Rooms need furniture update and new bathroom suites but what is there is clean and nothing looks shabby. For breakfast there is plenty of choice but for me the cooked food on the buffet range was not really that hot. Warm enough to eat. All in all it was fine and I will stay there again.

I am utterly disgraced by the service I received at this hotel. I checked in earlier than my original booking [made with a 3rd party site] and was met by the hotel receptionist, who I thought was competent enough at the time to help me with my booking. She made me aware that I had arrived earlier than expected so I presumed it would be an easy fix to add an additional night to my original booking. I was then advised by the same lady to try to add the additional night through my original method of booking however that didn't work so after a quick check for the price of 3 nights, I was then advised by this lady to cancel my original booking and book directly with the hotel. On confirming [what I had presumed] was a better price, I agreed to make the payment and I thought that was that. This morning, I was rudely waken up by the head of room cleaning, and informed that I had to check out. I assured this lady that I was booked to check out the following morning, which she went away to double check. It turns out, my additional night was never booked in. Not only has this situation been extremely distressing, but I have paid more than I would have if I had not followed the receptionist's guidance. It took nearly 2 hours of waiting around to get the issue resolved and being [what I can only describe as] hounded from the staff at the hotel like some criminal - this is not the way to treat paying guests. What I thought would be a nice relaxing stay has been extremely inconvenient and distressing to say the least.

The room was standard as expected with a hotel. I had a good night sleep. The water for the shower and the bath was powerful. The breakfast was a yummy buffet. We used the swimming pool facilities including the sauna and the steam room which were brilliant despite not being new. The staff were smiley and welcoming across the facilities which was great. We wanted extra pillows for the room (only 1 per person in the room) and they accommodated quickly. Asked for a room away from any events as per some reviews - they were having a wedding - and this was accommodated to also. We arrived 5 minutes before breakfast (told it opens at 8am on the Sunday) to find the dining room at 80% capacity already with families with children. I think they were on a trip with a coach company (parked outside). It didn't affect the breakfast but we were worried about the use of the swimming pool later - alas, we didn't need to worry. Swimming pool facilities as well as breakfast advertises that it opens at 8 but checkout is at 10 which is a little tight. There is lack of space in the bathroom (only a hook for a hand towel) to put towels and toiletry bags. The room is a little dated for the price we paid.

We booked the Valentines Day package including an overnight stay on 14th February 2023. Its fair to say that we experienced some difficulty with making the booking due, we were told to staff sickness. However, we decided to proceed with the booking and we are very glad that we did. The Valentines Dinner menu looked very good and the food proved to be as good as we hoped, despite further issues with our booking the Head Chef & Restaurant Supervisor, and indeed all the staff we encountered at reception and in the Bar were fantastic the food was excellent, it was beautifully presented, plates were hot and the service was great. All the team including the hotel maintenance team manager made sure we enjoyed our evening, they are a credit to the hotel. We had a really nice stay and would like to thank the staff who looked after us so well.

It was fine. There's a lot of negative reviews but I had a good night's sleep and that's very important. I ordered a dominoes and had a fast delivery, easy going hotel allows you to eat a take away in your room. My room had a double bed, tables and chairs, TV, clean bathroom I was impressed for the money. Teas coffee water. Yes it's a little dated but it still functions extremely well.

Don't stay here, it's awful. The room was freezing as the radiator was not working and the window broken. The air conditioning just flashed a spanner at me so I asked for an extra blanket at reception but none came so I had to pile the towels on the bed to keep warm. Thought a bath would warm me up but couldn't get any water from the taps and only cold water from the sink but that had no plug. The hallway stank of weed and the breakfast buffet was well below average.

If you can stay somewhere else, do so. In the past, I started better a lot. Back then it was, I felt, expensive but had a certain quality. Now it is neither expensive nor of a good standard. We arrived to find out rooms weren't ready. The chap on reception it turned out would have to make up our rooms, so he offered for us to share a room. No. We were filled to wait in the bar for three rooms to be ready. We did. 45 minutes later our rooms were ready. To be fair to the chap he was trying his best. He should never have been out in that position. The rooms are super hot and support uncomfortable. Posts suggesting that the hotel is tired are being complementary. Breakfast? Sausage roll anyone?

Despite arriving at the hotel and asking the reception to make a reasonable adjustment for me by emptying my bin on a daily bases due to living with a stoma. This was not done and after repeating the request to make reasonable adjustments this was still not achieved. I ended up empty the bin from my room by myself. The reason adjustments required come under the equalities act 2010. I requested the manager of the hotel to make contact with me throughout my stay. I was told by reception that the manager was not in and would contact me by Tuesday 27/09/22. Still no call from the manager of this hotel. The services in the hotel was poor, table service. What table services? There is also clearly a large family living or boarding there too. Reception staff seemed unconcerned of the issues raised and to top it all the key cards lock you out your room every day. Not a great experience at all. I tried contact the head office with no luck too.
