   Unsupportive and unaccountable staff/management - Missing piece of clothing I stayed at Apollo hotel on the 11th of November as a business trip. My dissatisfaction became real once I had to deal with a jacket left behind. Any properly run hotel and management must have a process in place to deal with such situations. A few days after my stay I phoned the hotel reception and after an email exchanged, the staff confirmed that my jacket was left in the room wardrobe and via me giving my address details and bank card details for (postage costs) I would receive the item left behind. Up until this moment all was good. During the following days/weeks the contact became extremely hard (no replies to various emails, reception not answering the phone) which terminated with an email by management saying that the jacked "went missing". No further support, no compensation offered, just silence. I expected more. A properly managed hotel would have made themselves accountable in such situation. I’m not surprised about other negative reviews as it is just a symptom of this lack of care for customers

   I have used this hotel twice recently and both times have been fabulous. The first was in October, I used this venue for a wedding fayre and it did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and bright, the staff were attentive and very helpful. The booking process was easy and the team replied quickly. The rooms are great for any size wedding, and can be made bigger or smaller to fit. The décor in the rooms is neutral so will work with any colour. The second time we used this venue was this weekend for a Christmas party. It was great fun, Christmas décor was pretty, the food was what I would expect, tasty and just enough to not be hungry or too full. The music was great and the team again were friendly and helpful. I would use this venue again for both wedding fayres and parties. Thanks Guys

   The hotel was reasonably priced and easy to get too. Easy, polite and friendly check in and out. The hotel is a little tired but the rooms had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Service for drinks in the evening was a little slow and disorganised. Breakfast was ok and usual buffet style. The pool and sauna were ok just a pity the jacuzzi wasn't working properly. As that's something we both really enjoy and formed part of our decision to stay at this hotel. Not sure we would stay again overall.

   Lemme say the staff were fine! No problems there except that when my 'room' was cleaned, it locked me out on my second day - tiny complaint there but walking all the way back down to reception after an arduous day of work breaks you a little bit XD I use 'room' lightly, you'd expect the lights to work at least, and the wifi over the whole building was very temperamental making it hard to complete emails and documents for work. Place needs a lot of love and a decent redesign, and some fabreeze

   I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and relaxation. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was fast and smooth, and I immediately felt well taken care of. One of the highlights of my stay was the swimming pool and spa area—immaculately clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. The Jacuzzi was especially relaxing after a long day of travel. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, it’s a great way to de-stress. Another huge plus was the free parking, which made things super convenient. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. What really stood out overall was the friendly customer service. Every staff member I encountered, from reception to housekeeping, was genuinely kind and attentive. It’s clear that the hotel values guest satisfaction and puts in the effort to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back!

   Spent a lovely Saturday evening at the Apollo with friends at a dinner and dance, great service from all staff, I had let them know in advance that I was coeliac, there was a good selection of food available and staff serving were very helpful with explaining what was glutenfree. Thanks Guys

   Went there fir a Christmas party. The DJ played extremely cheesy music, and we love a disco. Most of our party spent the evening in the bar. Also the toilets weren't clean. The positive was the food was better than most Christmas party venues.

   We chose the Apollo Hotel for our annual Christmas do which was last night. We booked the three course Christmas dinner with a disco. It was fantastic. The food was delicious (delicious pate, a beautifully cooked beef roast and a substantial slice of cheesecake) the wine was well chosen and the disco was great-a really good mix of tunes and a DJ who was more than happy to take requests. The team were very accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we were having a great time. We’ve been to some really quite disappointing functions in the past and the Apollo hotel and their team really did come up trumps!

   Was here for a conference. The room was good and thankfully the AC was excellent (we were there in the July heatwave). The refreshments were great and lunch was very good. Plenty of food. The staff were very attentive and checked in throughout the day. I'd recommend and would use the venue again.
