   I'm staying here in order to visit Matt Goddard of The Boxing Locker. My wife and I are very impressed with the facilities. Dont let your inital online inpression put you off at all. I promise you the moment you get to your room. You'll find a very quaint very comfortable, And very well done room and bathroom. Katherine, who runs the lodge is very nice. And deserves wholesome respect for the service that she's offering. My wife and I stayed at a very high-end Hilton in London over the weekend during our trip..... And let's just put it this way. I couldn't wait to get back to my comfortable QUIET bed at cherry lodge.

   Perfect for us! We are overnight late arrivers and early leavers so the 'help yourself' breakfast in the kitchen was ideal. Room was spotless with all the basics covered. Only odd thing was having to leave your key in the hall when going out.

   I've stayed in several of the B&B's around Hook, but now always use Cherry Lodge when I'm staying in the area. + The hostess is always friendly + There's always rooms available so you don't have to book weeks in advance + Breakfast is good - full English + cereal, toast, yogurt. + The rooms are clean. + You get a twin room for the price of a single + The rooms are cheap. - The en-suite's are a bit old - The shower was cold one time (but hot every other time). I can't comment on the use of TV or DVDs as I don't use them. In conclusion, the only B&B I've tried in the area which is better than this is Oaklea - which is 50% more expensive.
