Great concept. Comfortable, clean rooms. All the teas/coffee were great quality, with lots of options. Location was great, being near to Kelham Island, but the place itself (a shared apartment style with individual bedrooms) was on the ground floor. We were the only two people staying, and had a frightful experience when someone let themselves into the apartment after midnight. Turns out they were delivering breakfast for the next morning! Would have been good to know that in advance. Overall a great stay, and would recommend.

Basically a luxury four bed room apartment with breakfast included. Central location. High end honesty bar and other nice touches. Breakfast was absolutely excellent. We were allowed to bring our dog. The room was much smaller than anticipated and communication could be a bit better.

The House of Joro has a 4 room mini hotel, with a restaurant about a 10 minute walk away - although this is due to change soon. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a shared seating and dining area between the four rooms. This encourages socialising with other guests, which I really liked. Breakfast had a Scandinavian feel, with. Lovely young chef providing drinks and the cold breakfast of yogurt with granola, breads, salmon etc… At the restaurant we opted for the premium tasting menu with the matching drinks. The restaurant at present is in a shipping container. This did make it a little noisy, we did struggle to hear our waiters at times. It was great to be able to see the chefs at work and the food was excellent. I really liked the concept behind the tasting menu, which had a sense of Scandinavian meets Asia. I loved the seaweed ice cream sandwich. There is clearly a lot of thought going into the menu creation which made the meal fascinating as well as tasty. The young staff were all very helpful and their enthusiasm for the food really came across well.

Delightful - i was so surprised how lovely this wee space was when I arrived. Beautifully appointed - attention to detail everywhere - bedroom was lovely and the cooking - sitting area was a surprise and perfect. Can't imagine why I'd ever stay in a hotel again with this available. Recommended. I didn't eat at the nearby restaurant but two of the other guests did and said it was excellent. Wonderful stay at House of Joro. The living area and our room was beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed and thoughtful additional touches for guests. Breakfast was delicious and all needs catered too. Would stay again in the future.

Wonderful accommodation, with a bath in the room as well as a great walk in shower in the ensuite. The tasting menu and wine flight was fantastic. Would highly recommend even if you don't stay in the hotel. Breakfast was gorgeous and so easy going.

Came here as part of a dinner/hotel package with their restaurant nearby. Hotel is modern and chic. 4 bedrooms set around a communal lounge/kitchen. Rooms nicely decorated and comfortable. Lovely shower. The hotel and dinning package is the best value we’ve had for such a fantastic experience. We will be back.

Fabulous stay and dinner at The House of Joro. Food and experience is spectacular. The double rooms and bed are small but King bed rooms are available.

A brilliant night away visiting House of Jöro and Jöro. The rooms were gorgeous with a lovely roll top bath in the bedroom and a separate shower room. The breakfast was really lovely too and matched the standard of the food in Jöro. Speaking of the meal… well, oh my word. Outstanding. A brilliant tasting menu and wine flight. The staff were lovely and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. Loved the whole experience.
