Excellent quality Sunday lunch, fantastic service and value for money, Richard made us feel very welcome. Very good options on the menu, the food was delicious and the portions very generous, I will definitely return and would happily recommend this place highly.

Best menu for our family that I’ve come across in a long time. Food was delicious and the service was fantastic from the bar to the waiter and even the chef! We will be back again soon :)

We have been coming here on and off for years. It's a little dated with the decor but does feel homely and comforting, however the people running it are always very attentive and the food never fails to be yummy. The portions are a good size.i mostly have the fish but I usually don't fancy chips with it, they are happy to change it up for me to a salad or potato.mother in law always has the Yorkshire filled with steak and ale with veggies and she always enjoyed that, ive had it once and is perfect for the winter months. The burger is very good according to my husband and he knows his burgers. I had the gammon last time, I never usually fancy gammon but on this occasion I'm glad I went with my gut it was so good and I really enjoyed it. We've not been in the rooms so cannot comment and not had the Sunday roast however we have heard great things about it.

Great place to stay, will be returning & using as a base for a few cities. Nothing to much trouble, allowed us to change menu to suit us, breakfast was brilliant. Being non chain they've gone for quality with service, food & rooms. Yes they could save money on quality but it's all about returning customers these days. Over the past few days we've stayed at 7 hotels & pubs, only 2 have been put on our list to return to, this is 1.

Long time since last visit there, just over a quarter of a century actually. Use to go there weekly with another couple, but life moves on. Anyway, as you would expect quite a few changes, clean, tidy, warm, the fireplace hasn't altered! Enjoyable meal served by friendly staff. Won't be another 25 years before a repeat visit.

Stayed here on the 9th October, a lovely and pleasant welcome on arrival. And it didn't end there. We sat in the beautiful outdoor area. Enjoying the peace and quiet. Only to have one of the pleasant staff come round and take another drinks order. Also supplied us with a menu for our meal later. The food is absolutely fabulous. A good variety and fair prices as well. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. (slept like a log). Breakfast was to die for. Full English, and nothing was any trouble for this hotel. They would definitely get a 10/10 from all four guests that stayed that evening. And i would also like to congratulate the owners and staff for thinking outside the box, and supplying a meals on wheels service for the old and vulnerable. Which even today they are still operating. Again i would like to thank you all for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Lovely little inn & pub. Never had a room here, only been for a drink and not tried the food yet. We stay near here every year and have tried a few pubs, but hadn't tried here before tonight. What a lovely place. Fantastic little beer garden round back with plenty of seating, decent selection of drinks, can order on an app (if you know the WiFi password) Etc. Overall a lovely little pub, and well definitely be coming back here whenever we're in the area.
