βFantastic food, great staff and lovely surroundingsβ
βI have traveled extensively throughout the UK, and I can easily state that I had THE BEST steak and ale pie here! It was delicious and had little bits of potato in it as well. The pie crust was perfect! Highly recommended stopping here for the pies!β
βMy daughter got married here recently and it was an absolutely amazing day. She married outside in the beautiful gardens which was so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious and the venue room looked fantastic. The evening food of pie and peas was delicious. The staff were lovely and very attentive to all our needs. We stayed the night the rooms very nice they were clean and the beds very comfortable and to round our stay off a great breakfast too.β
βFantastic "local" pub, nice rooms, excellent beers and a really decent pint of Guinness. Staff and locals very friendly and welcoming. Nice beer garden with plenty of seating. No frills, quirky, full of conversation......... definitely my sort of pub.β
βFirst time coming for Christmas Lunch, food was amazing, service from the team was spot on. A job well done, intending to book again next year. Thank you so much to the team.Merry Christmas. Sarah and Hannahβ
βHidden little gem. Room that we had was clean modern and fresh with a good smart TV and even thermostat control for heating. Check in was easy through the link to collect the keys. Tea and coffee, extra comfortable bed and pillows. Really nice place I have stopped in many many rooms and this is up there with the best of them for comfort and safety. Also has its own private secure car park.β
βAbsolutely lovely place the staff are amazing and the food was delicious would definitely recommend the pizzas Fabulous place all roundβ
βI don't normally write reviews but I felt I should on this occasion. We booked a three night break for our 40th Wedding anniversary first time at Thoresby Hall and a Warner break. We knew there were re refurbishments and the Spa was closed but decided to go ahead. Totally relaxed in the peace and serenity of the grounds and slept so well. The Manor House Suite was beautiful never had a bit of luxury like that. We ate very well and enjoyed The Blu Room which is stunning. I realise it's all about opinions and this is our honest findings. I also believe if they had closed the hotel completely while refurbishment that people's jobs would have been affected and the hotel provides work for a lot of local people. Thank you for a lovely experience hope we're lucky enough to re visit in the future.β
βAbsolutely fantastic greeting from the staff on arrival - Kevin was amazing and talked us through some nice walks in the area to . Room wasn't quite ready as we were a little early so he managed to find us one that was ready - rooms very clean tidy and comfortable would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here .β
βWe are staying at this Premier Inn for a family holiday. The rooms are immaculate, fantastic setting, only a 10 minute walk into Matlock town centre. It's a lovely, quiet location. All of the staff have been amazing, nothing has been too much trouble. Tammy gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, Daniel has been fantastic helping us with a change of room (our fault on booking) The staff working on breakfast service and evening meals were fantastic. The breakfast choice is great. Zeb served us at breakfast and evening meal and both times, even though he was really busy, he was really polite and friendly. He really is a credit to the company, great level of service. I can highly recommend this Premier Inn and Matlock is a beautiful place to visit, plenty to see and explore.β
βThank you so much for making our wedding day on August 16, 2025, an absolutely unforgettable experience. We especially want to give a massive shout-out to the incredible Angela, who is truly a diamond. She was always on hand to help, and her bubbly, approachable personality made the whole planning process so much smoother and more enjoyable. The day ran perfectly, and thatβs a testament to the entire staff. Every single person we interacted with was brilliant and incredibly helpful. Weβve received countless compliments from our guests about the food, which was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone was so impressed with the quality and presentation. Everything we needed was taken care of, and we are so glad we chose Aston Hall for our special day. The beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and impeccable service were all perfect. Thank you again for everything. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more wonderful team to help us start our married life together.β
βWe had just a one night stay, but it was perfect for what we wanted, room was clean, cosy and warm, slept really well, we had a twin room breakfast included, what a bargain for a Thursday night, a lovely bar very nice breakfast, would definitely stay again.β
βI had a great experience at the Royal Victoria, so far the best (chain) hotel I've stayed at in Sheffield. The staff were professional and friendly, and whilst the lobby are and hallways are showing their age a little, the room was absolutely lovely. It was well-equipped and modern, as well as light and airy (we had a corner room). One note: it is located on top of a very busy road, and though the windows are quite good at blocking the noise, if you're a light sleeper then perhaps bring earplugs to be on the safe side. I had some with me but forgot to put them in and still slept great. The advantage is that you're within 15mins walk of the train station, and the same distance from Kelham Island and the city centre!β
βVery nice apartment, lovely bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely place to return to afternoon a day exploring Sheffield.β
βLook at those pics! Look at those Yorkshire puds!! It's every bit as good as it looks. Really good price for a couple of Sunday lunches and a starter and a drink.β
βCalled into the Restaurant for a drink after a long walk around the Lake. Although the restaurant was busy the staff were attentive, polite, in Xmas spirit and the atmosphere felt festive and warm.β
βThis is my 4th visit to the Premier. Always the friendliest greeting. Jill was on reception & I must say she is a credit to the Hotel, with her warm smile and welcoming conversation, nothing is too much trouble for her, also this was the 1st time i have had breakfast. We had the all you can eat continental. Porridge was lovely as was the pancakes. We were looked after by the lovely Bernie, who again couldn't have looked after us more. Another credit to the hotel. Definitely the only place I'll stay when visiting Doncaster.β
βThe hotel was lovely, it smelled fresh and clean on arrival. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was ample, the beds were very comfortable with a choice of soft or hard pillows. The hotel had free Wi-Fi. The shower was hot a powerful. The hotel is very strict about the rules of having a dog. The breakfast was self service and plenty to choose from, hot breakfast, cereals, pastry's. Our room was overlooking a busy road, we heard the traffic most of the night. Overall - excellent hotel, we would definitely stay here again (but chose a different room location).β
βMy parents were over from Ireland and we wanted to give them their first Afternoon tea experience. We all really enjoyed the food! The venue is lovely and cosy with a nice chilled atmosphere. You can also eat outside on a sunny day if you want. My 4 year old son was with us and they made him his own sandwich and gave him a scone free of charge. We had a lovely chat with the manager/owner at the end. Overall we had a lovely experience!!!β

βHad a great burger and noticed the pizza oven β looks promising, so hopefully some pizzas are on the way soon! Really looking forward to coming back and giving them a try. The team were friendly and welcoming β shoutout to Glynn, who was especially attentive and made us feel right at homeβ
βWhat a great spot, a warm welcome with in a great location. The restaurant / has a fantastic atmosphere with a good mix of locals and visitors. The food was super and served cheerful happy staff. We had an amazing view from our comfortable room. Very highly recommended.β
βWe got married at the Sitwell Arms on 30th December and the day was incredible from start to finish! The staff were incredible and a special mention to our wedding co-ordinator Laura who was fabulous, she put us at ease all day and nothing was ever too much and Cameron who stayed with us until the end of the night. They couldnβt do enough for us, everything ran seamless from start to finish. Thank you for a beautiful day!β
βNeeded a hotel in Sheffield for two nights while I came down to purchase a new car. This hotel is in a great location, shops, food places and so much more all within walking distance. I was able to walk to it easily from Sheffield station. Staff at reception are very polite, professional and helped with any questions I had. Booked me taxis when required with no hassle. Room was big and exactly what I booked. Would be good if TVs had Netflix etc but wasnβt a huge deal. Beds EXTREMELY comfortable and had a great two nights sleep. Highly recommend the leonardo hotelβ
βI had a truly delightful experience staying at premier inn (Angel Street). Whilst staying here I thought I would have a few drinks in the bar, there was one member of staff, Samantha Marsden, she was so friendly, so helpful, made my experience so very easy for me. Every question I asked her, she had the answer too, she took the time to make sure everything was ok. I had a very pleasant time, always had a smile on her face, always doing something weather that was cleaning or taking pots to the back and bring new ones back, she was always on her toes. Very professional, punctual and just an all round kind, helpful young lady. I would definitely recommend staying here again. Thank you Samantha for making my stay so pleasant.β
βWe've stayed in a lot of Premier Inns but this one was exceptional! The food was very good and the room really clean but what made it special was the staff. They were so friendly and fun, they made our stay extra special.β
βLovely and pleasant experience, iβve stayed in number of premier inns across the country and this was a really nice setting good location. Bar is welcoming, warm and reasonable priced. anthony really went above and beyond to make our experience in the bar. would returnβ
βStayed a night after seeing Saints play Blades away. Great hotel, room was clean and comfy, price was excellent. Arrived before 3pm check-in, if you want to check in early it will cost you Β£15. I checked in after 3pm, and there was a line and it was a bit slow. That's the only con. Super easy walk to and from Bramall Lane if you're there for the football. Would stay again for sure.β
