   40 of us attended a Xmas meal. Well presented, good food. Reasonable timing of service. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Hotel well dressed, welcoming and comfortable. Will definitely be going again. Lovely coffee lounge for casual meetups! Prices really good too.

   Afternoon tea for four today to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Firstly your staff are a credit to you, amazing service from start to finish. Afternoon tea was so good, loved the merguine Swan . Beautifully set table in a lovely setting quality food and exellant value for money . Throughly enjoyed by all of us . Thank you

   Overall, our one night stay was excellent and we wouldn’t hesitate to book and stay again. The hotel met our requirements of a low floor room with a walk in shower. The room (no 22 in the Georgian block) was excellent and the only reason I have not awarded a 10 is because there was slight black water mould around the base of the tiles in the shower and only one pack of biscuits between the 2 of us! Two packs, each with a couple of biscuits in them would be better! Other than those minor points the room was very spacious and well equipped with ironing board and iron and hairdryer. We didn’t have food or drink during our stay as we were there specifically for a family occasion so I’m unable to comment with regard to this aspect. The security to the car park was very good, you could get in but to leave you needed a specific code for the exit barrier. The receptionist on duty was also very informative and pleasantly friendly but maintaining professionalism.

   My daughter got married here recently and it was an absolutely amazing day. She married outside in the beautiful gardens which was so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious and the venue room looked fantastic. The evening food of pie and peas was delicious. The staff were lovely and very attentive to all our needs. We stayed the night the rooms very nice they were clean and the beds very comfortable and to round our stay off a great breakfast too.

   Lovely room, nicely furnished, a little dated for my taste but nothing to complain about. Nice and quiet too. Super happy for the additional pull out bed for my daughter as there were 4 of us in the family room. Everything worked well except the shower didnt have much pressure and went hot and cold at times but it was fine. The complimentary soaps and lotions in the bathroom smell divine. Wishing I would have noted down the brand. tea, coffee and biscuits were also lovely. Service was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was also very nice. A good selection and catering for allergies (wheat and milk). On site parking was very nice and its very easy to find. Its been my second time staying here and I look forward to visiting again

   Popped in to make a booking for festive lunch for 3 person's. Fully booked in main restaurant but fitted me in another bar area. Perfect. The lady in reception made me feel so special. Love this place. I always feel that it wraps it's arms around me when I go through the door. This is so important to me at this time whilst I am grieving. Thank you to all the staff Judy

   We went for a lunch. Attentive service. Food nice & well cooked, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not much to choose from, so not hard to decide what to eat. Hardly anyone else in the dining room so felt it lacked any atmosphere. Decent price for a 2 course lunch. Would go again.

   Checking was smooth. I arrived very late and was checked in by the night porter. Hotel has plenty of car parking. Room was okay. Breakfast was fine but not exceptional. Buffet breakfast with hot food cooked by order. Nice setting at breakfast. I walked into town, which is only about 10 mins away. Nice town centre. It was a market day. Nice market. A good market town with lots of different types of shops. Not convinced it is a Best Western Plus.
