“Called in to Forest Lodge about 4-15 on Sat 1st Nov for drinks and food.Was served by Scarlett in what was a very busy pub with people watching sport.She seemed to be working the bar on her own but was very efficient and polite.Great to see a young lady doing a fantastic job in a busy environment with a smile on her face.5 stars from us”

“Absolutely fantastic greeting from the staff on arrival - Kevin was amazing and talked us through some nice walks in the area to . Room wasn't quite ready as we were a little early so he managed to find us one that was ready - rooms very clean tidy and comfortable would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here .”

“Loved our stay here. The house is beautiful and so unique, loved the decor. We stayed in the superior king room. The owners are lovely and their dogs are very well behaved and friendly. Breakfast was nice too. There's a town within walking distance to go out for food and drinks. If we're ever back in Mansfield we'd definitely stay here again.”

“My fiancée and I had the most wonderful time in Sherwood. The cabin was beautiful and the location was simply stunning. There were plenty of activities available, but more than enough gorgeous scenery to just go for a leisurely walk. The staff were incredible, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Forest Ranger John was an absolute legend with his delightful quiz on Wednesday and a lovely, impromptu walk in the forest on Tuesday. I would absolutely come again and highly recommend Forest holidays in Sherwood to anyone looking for a peaceful, picturesque break in the forest.”

“Dilly absolutely loves going to stay with Dawnie, who cares for her as if she is her own. We recently lost our elderly Labrador and were concerned about leaving Dilly by herself, somewhere new. There was no need to be worried at all. The environment Dawnie provides is a real home from home, with everything you can possibly think of for daschund's, ramps for sofas, paddling pool in the summer, secure dog friendly garden. For us it is Dawnie herself who makes the biggest difference in choosing where to send Dilly, a calm and caring lady who has everything under control, sends us updates and photos, really efficient and above all we trust her to take care of our much loved daschund as we would.
