“Great hospitality and good selection of beers. Lovely atmosphere with the locals all seeming to know each other but warm and welcoming to me as a first time visitor. The chap behind the bar was keen to tell me about all the beers and the ethos of the place which was interesting. Great NE IPA on keg right now. Next I'm in Mansfield I'll drop in.”
“Went to Barracuda tonight for the first time and it was STUNNING. One of the only places in Mansfield I've known to sell Savaloy which was absolutely delicious. The chips were incredible and very fresh. The servers were also incredibly friendly. I definitely will be coming here again!”
“An absolutely great place everyone was so sociable and friendly”

“Visited for our works Christmas Party and had the festive menu. The food was lovely and great value for money. The staff were friendly, food was served promptly and we had a great evening. We will definitely return soon.”
“If you come here for luxury you’re coming to the wrong place. BUT: It’s a budget hotel with a bar attached next to a bus and train station. The rooms do what they say on the tin and most staff are excellent. The rooms are clean; the bar is good, the TVs work (mostly), the WiFi isn’t the best but name a hotel that has excellent WiFi. There’s good connections to travel and it’s next to the bustling town of Mansfield (you know that excellent town) It is worth noting that some of the clientele aren’t great and if you’re there for 37 days (like I was) it’s a challenge. But the staff made the stay, and the hotel is not at all that bad. In fact for the price and if your expectations are right it will exceed them all. Thank you for a good stay.”

“Great little micro pub, good selection of beers, nice warm welcome from the landlord. Pleasant atmosphere, prices to sort every pocket. Thoroughly recommend.”
“Wow, wow, wow! Delicious food... chef makes pies that are literally LIFE! The team make you feel like you are home, the best service, care and attention. Shout out to Mitchell who made us feel like family, great reccomdations on what we should eat, yummooo, he made our evening. We will be returning for sure, Big up the hendos.”
“What amazing food! We did have to wait quite a while for our orders but everything seemed to have been made fresh from scratch, so no complaint there. Meals were very fairly priced. I'm lactose intolerant and when asked if there was a dairy-free cappuccino, he said he had dairy-free milk of his own so he would use that if necessary. The cappuccino was great and the servers couldn't do enough for you. I will definitely be wating here again.”
“Delicious! This place feels underrated, it’s really strong especially compared to relatively local competition and delivers some great, elegant, well presented tasty dishes. Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.”
“Amazing did the murder mystery night got to say I’ve not laughed that much in a long time the Entire evening was Fantastic ever thing was on point the food was stunning the staff all fabulous I go has far to say i would have happily had paid double for the experience thank you all so much for a incredible evening”
“We had such a great day here! tons of exciting slides as well as a fun obstacle course. What really made it special was the paddle boarding! Right next to the water park where you can rent paddle boards. It was the perfect way to wind down after all the water park excitement. The water was calm, the scenery was peaceful, and it was such a fun activity for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. Only “downside” is if you don’t have a car it’s a 40 minute walk from the nearest bus stop but if you enjoy walking it should be no problem! It’s rare to find a place that combines both high-energy water park fun with something more relaxing like paddle boarding — we loved both and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a full day of water activities!”
“Had work christmas party here, good was amazing, service was impeccable and atmosphere was electric Thanks!”
“My wife and I went here on a recommendation, I'll be honest it's not the kind of pub I'd usually choose to go but on the way back home I was thinking maybe my usual place id go to isn't that good. The Black Market upon entering was extremely friendly, Dave behind the bar was lovely we had a talk about the craft beers and a giggle. My wife and I had a three course meal here, I had the Nacho's and my wife the garlic mushrooms, it absolutely wasn't what I was expecting. The Nacho's were for Nacho's amazing, the salsa was so fresh and zingy, my wife's garlic mushrooms were really saucy and garlicy (is that a word?) Big portion too. We then had the fish and chips, I have no problems saying this was one of the best if not the best fish and chips I've ever had (being a Norfolk local) I've had my fair share of good fresh fish and chips, the batter was fresh the cod was succulent and fresh. Was a great atmosphere, service was quick and the waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was phenomenal This is a place in my humble opinion I would class as a hidden gem, I am doubting my usual technique for choosing where to eat, some of the best places I have eaten are buildings I usually would walk straight past whilst thinking god no. The food here is amazing, the atmosphere and locals here were extremely friendly and welcoming. If you're passing or local and wondering should I try it, absolutely do. Next time I am back in this area I definitely will. Nice craft beers too, also worth mentioning. A real credit to the village. 10/10 from me.”
“Dropped in for lunch today and was greeted by super friendly staff , such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. I had the steak pie with mash and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, packed with tender steak and bursting with flavour. Couldn’t resist dessert and went for the fruit crumble with custard… absolutely unbelievable! I’m not local, otherwise I’d be back on a regular basis. Thanks for the warm welcome , keep up the amazing service and top quality food!”
“A fantastic, proper pub with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Always a perfect pint, whether it's Guinness, lager, nitro keg bitter, or cider, and all at a very reasonable prices. The food is amazing and the Sunday carvery is without a doubt the best I've had. The prices are also really good.”
“It's a nice friendly club, good people run it,good people go in it, never seen any trouble, they have good entertainment on a Friday and Sunday night.”
“Always a great atmosphere when we walk in. I've lived in Edwinstowe for 8 months now, and the Wedge is by far my favourite place to drink!!”
“Met a friend here and it was the first time I've been in the week. I had one of the hub/lunchtime meals, cheese and ham lasagne with lovely fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. It was so good! It filled me up for the rest of the day. Highly recommend”
“Called in to Forest Lodge about 4-15 on Sat 1st Nov for drinks and food. Was served by Scarlett in what was a very busy pub with people watching sport. She seemed to be working the bar on her own but was very efficient and polite.Great to see a young lady doing a fantastic job in a busy environment with a smile on her face.5 stars from us”
“Hands down one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. Absolutely faultless from the quality of the food to the epic portions! I’m never disappointed and the staff are so efficient and friendly. It’s worth the drive to come here!”
“Amazing food, all sooo tasty, well presented and fresh. The staff were reslly friendly, the place was very clean and well lit. Got good vegetarian options.”
“Lovely pub great location brilliant service Sunday lunch good price roast beef Yorkshire pudding fresh veg very nice pint of IPA went down well”
“The service is always great here. The staff are always friendly and professional. I also really like that every Capo Lounge has the same vibe through the UK. The ones I have been to in Mansfield, Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon are anyway. I can honestly say we have never had a problem with the service here. We eat and fine dine most weekends, but we still just love going for a good old English Fry Up! The cocktails are lush and YES, I drank one before 12pm ;)”
