“Amazing service from Newton Fallowell. We had another well known estate agent engaged for 3 months with no progress at all. It’s amazing the difference it makes when the agent markets your property properly and with a desire to sell. We received 2 reasonable offers within a week of them being instructed. “I have left a review before and was really happy with our meals. But I wanted to do a special update. We got married on the 6th of September 2025 and decided to have our reception at The Gate in Langwith. Phil, Denise and the staff were fantastic, listened to what we wanted and had no issues with my requests. On the day we turned up and Denise had decorated the tables in the orangery beautifully. The meal was at the very high standard we have come to love from the chefs and could not fault any part of it. All our guests said it was a beautiful meal and it made our day even more memorable. “I recently used Pinewood Lettings as a Tenant. I found the staff to be very professional, helpful and friendly, answering all my questions and getting back to me very quick with answers. I spoke to Tracey, Richard and Ellie, all were really friendly and easy to talk to, and were able to advise me. They have an online application & referencing process which I found really easy and simple to use and took minutes to complete. Where I did encounter a small issue, Tracey and her team sorted this for me by the next day, calling me throughout the day to keep me informed. I was genuinely impressed with the service. Check in day was great - and well worth the small fee! They met me at the property to go through everything thoroughly, taking high quality pictures of all the rooms, fixtures and fittings and any wear and tear that had occurred before I moved in. - They were far more thorough than I tried to be, and from a tenants perspective, I found this really reassuring! The fee's I found competitive against other agents, and for the service I received, I was very happy. Included in the fees was a service which transferred all the bills and council tax in my name, so i didn't have to think about it. - they made the whole process start to finish very smooth and I had peace of mind. I would genuinely recommend Pinewood Lettings to anyone looking to rent around Mansfield/Chesterfield.”

“I come down 4-6 time a year for work and have always stayed at the Lodge (approx 8yrs). This is a small family run business. They always go the extra mile and make me feel so welcome. Food portions are great and cooked to perfection. There is a small car park and one Electric hook up. They have a nice little garden area where you can sit outside on a good day. Definitely recommend it.”

“Absolutely fantastic greeting from the staff on arrival - Kevin was amazing and talked us through some nice walks in the area to . Room wasn't quite ready as we were a little early so he managed to find us one that was ready - rooms very clean tidy and comfortable would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here .”

“Nice and clean hotel. Staff are friendly. Stayed there for a night in one of the rooms, it was big. Breakfast in the morning was also good. Toilet and bathroom is small. Great location, only few minutes walking distance from the city centre. There is a big Tesco about 10 mins walking distance.”

“If you come here for luxury you’re coming to the wrong place. BUT: It’s a budget hotel with a bar attached next to a bus and train station. The rooms do what they say on the tin and most staff are excellent. The rooms are clean; the bar is good, the TVs work (mostly), the WiFi isn’t the best but name a hotel that has excellent WiFi. There’s good connections to travel and it’s next to the bustling town of Mansfield (you know that excellent town) It is worth noting that some of the clientele aren’t great and if you’re there for 37 days (like I was) it’s a challenge. But the staff made the stay, and the hotel is not at all that bad. In fact for the price and if your expectations are right it will exceed them all. Thank you for a good stay.”

“I had to write a review because I was so impressed and grateful for the fantastic service I received today from Reece. It was first time in years I have booked a holiday and I was really anxious. I am so glad I went into the branch today as everyone was welcoming as soon as I got walked in. Reece was professional, patient and knowledgeable. He has helped me to find and secure a holiday with all the requirements I had. He matched the online price but also went above and beyond to help me navigate through everything. Reece was attentive, kind and really put me at ease. I wish I could explain how brilliant he was! Highly recommended if you need someone to help guide you when you have requirements as his knowledge was invaluable. A real credit to Tui and someone I will always go to for future bookings. “Loved our stay here. The house is beautiful and so unique, loved the decor. We stayed in the superior king room. The owners are lovely and their dogs are very well behaved and friendly. Breakfast was nice too. There's a town within walking distance to go out for food and drinks. If we're ever back in Mansfield we'd definitely stay here again.”

“Buckley brown was amazing from start to finish, we saw a property for sale before ours was on the market, the person that owned the bungalow was fed up of time wasters and only wanted to show people around there property that was close to selling theres but Lauryn from sales at Buckley some how managed to talk him round, we went to see it and fell in love. After quite a few weeks ours hadn't sold and we got a call from Lauryn saying that the owner had another offer on the bungalow and in the same breath told us that we had a offer on ours, we couldn't believe our luck but Lauryn also told us that the offer on the bungalow was more than we had made but she told us to leave it with her. The next day Lauryn came back to us and told us that the owner of the bungalow decided to turn down the offer of more money and go with us, how Lauryn talked him round I don't no but she was amazing, from then everything went smoothly we were past on to Steph who was the after sales team and she was also brilliant, she kept us up to date with the sale and conversed between us and the solicitor when needed. I would wholely recommend Buckley brown for selling and buying you property they are a company you can trust to do the job right.”

“My fiancée and I had the most wonderful time in Sherwood. The cabin was beautiful and the location was simply stunning. There were plenty of activities available, but more than enough gorgeous scenery to just go for a leisurely walk. The staff were incredible, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Forest Ranger John was an absolute legend with his delightful quiz on Wednesday and a lovely, impromptu walk in the forest on Tuesday. I would absolutely come again and highly recommend Forest holidays in Sherwood to anyone looking for a peaceful, picturesque break in the forest.”

“Absolutely stunning apartment in a great little village, within walking distance from Sherwood Forest the hosts have thought of everything you might possibly need to have a great stay! Heating and air con worked perfectly lovely little welcome hamper and instructions on how to use all the amenities, spotless felt so cozy and at home absolutely perfect stay will be staying again!”
