Not a bad stop if you just need a room for the area. Nice room with the basics but thats it free view tv, bed an shower with a table an desk. Friendly staff more then hsppy to accommodate my later arrival an allowed me to bring food due to running late.

One word...... 2 actually..... Absolutely disgusting!!! One star don't even cut it. Battling for a refund now!! Would NOT recommend at all. Manager hasn't even contacted me!! Made the complaint fell on deaf ears!!! Plus all the upset brought on an asthma attack.

If you come here for luxury you’re coming to the wrong place. BUT: It’s a budget hotel with a bar attached next to a bus and train station. The rooms do what they say on the tin and most staff are excellent. The rooms are clean; the bar is good, the TVs work (mostly), the WiFi isn’t the best but name a hotel that has excellent WiFi. There’s good connections to travel and it’s next to the bustling town of Mansfield (you know that excellent town) It is worth noting that some of the clientele aren’t great and if you’re there for 37 days (like I was) it’s a challenge. But the staff made the stay, and the hotel is not at all that bad. In fact for the price and if your expectations are right it will exceed them all. Thank you for a good stay.

My father booked into this hotel on the 5th november 2022, he booked for the weekend paid cash upon arrival of £120. The whole hotel was disgusting, he stayed in room one and there was no refreshments as stated, the door to the toilet was damaged and hanging off, he went out to meet some friends and come back to empty bar with staff all huddled together having a natter not doing their jobs and he ordered a drink, the management asked him to leave stating he had used foul language which wasnt the case. My father is also a 67 year old man. He asked for a refund as they had asked him to leave the time was near to 11PM which meant other establishments would of been closed so he wasnt able to book somewhere else to stay. Police were called and they arrived. My father explained the situation to them stating none of what they said was true he asked for his refund and was told no. He asked if they were affiliated with the midland hotel group which they responded they didnt need to give that information. He asked police to check the room and retrieve his belongings. Hotel refused to give a receipt which then meant police had to get one for him. My father had to call his friend to come collect him and had to book into a travelodge which my friend had to pay for due to hotel refusing a refund and not having the money to book it myself due to the circumstances. I would AVOID this establishment at all costs they are unprofessional and should be shut down due to the damage in the whole building. How they haven't been closed down is beyond me if this is how they treat paying guests

Good view of bus stop from the window. 5min walk to the city centre shopping places. Rooms are small. Had heating issues with the room. Had a bath tub. Overall okay for a short stay.
