They provided me with a pretty mint and new example of a VW Luton Van. Had no problems at all with the van, the collection and return was easy and straightforward too. Would use again. cheers lads!
Since my last review got removed I’ll be more diplomatic. Do not use this company, they charged me for damage that did not exist. I had proof with a video that I took before rental as I do with every rental I have had but was still charged a £150 for damage. Look for yourself. Do not use!!
If I could give them lower than 1 star I would. Awful experience and now in the process of ripping customers off at any chance they can. I have been using this company for years, and this is the first time I have felt this way. Are they under new management? Not only did the prices shoot up on booking, extra on insurance on collection. Then when dropping it off they were trying EVERYTHING to find something I had to pay extra for. In the end they charged me for the smallest mark on the plastic trim. £60!! at first they tried saying I had damaged the internal side of the inside back door, until they realised it was already on the first set of photo's. The vans are hired normally to move things, moving house, tip runs, your going to get the odd mark on the plastic trims!!! A JOKE OF A COMPANY AVOID AND HIRE CHEAPER ELSEWHERE. I Will not be returning.
Rented a Luton van from them as we were moving house. Our buyer's solicitors messed us around last minute and Mansfield Van Hire were incredibly reasonable with rearranging dates. The experience was fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful. They'll basically fully check the van before you drive it away and take pictures. You review this information and then get an email. When you drop the van back, they check everything again and you're free to go. Easy peasy. Also, if you're like me and hadn't driven anything as big as a Luton van before, they pull it out so that it's easy to drive away from the compound and get yourself on the road. Amazing experience. Would recommend them to anyone and we'll be back when we need something a little bigger than a Corsa.
Avoid this company at all costs- an absolute nightmare experience! I was forced to use this van hire company as my second choice, and I deeply regret it. I rented a Luton van, only for it to break down after just 30 miles due to a failed driveshaft. Having driven cars and vans for over eight years without a single breakdown, I was absolutely furious to find myself stranded at a busy junction. To make matters worse, the breakdown occurred on a Saturday afternoon—right after the company had closed—leaving me unable to reach them on their landline. Frantically searching for a recovery contact, I combed through all the documents in the van, only to find an outdated, non-functional insurance number. With no other visible options, I had no choice but to call a local recovery service, which cost me £126 out of pocket. It was only after the van had been towed that I spotted an out-of-hours number buried in tiny print on the rental agreement. This crucial number was nowhere to be found on their website or in the van’s documentation, which is completely unacceptable in an emergency situation. Rather than acknowledging their failure and reimbursing me for the recovery fee as a gesture of goodwill, the company refused. On top of that, I had to spend three weeks chasing them—making repeated phone calls—just to get a refund for the rental and fuel (£120 in total), which I was promised on the day of the breakdown. I rented the van on January 25th and only received my refund on February 11th, after relentless follow-ups. To this day, I am still £126 out of pocket due to their unreliable vehicles, not to mention the lost business from a wasted day. This company clearly does not care about its customers. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!

Used this company to move house. Brilliant service and price. Booked a Luton with tail lift to move 2 hot tubs. Booked 3 weeks ago only to be told this morning they didnt have one. 2 other people had booked and paid in full so were given priority. When I booked they said half deposit and pay other half on collection. Total farce
Had a few vans from here over the past 6 months. At least half have been high mileage base models (I would pay more for a van with aircon and a USB charging port - but this may not be a consideration for others). One had a tail gate that failed, another tailgate would only work if I stood on it. One had an alternator light that came on after a few miles (reported it but they already knew). Two had a non-working driver's side electric window. And one with a seized/extremely stiff passenger side rear door. New vans are okay as you'd expect. Prices are reasonable and they’ve always got stock if you walk-in off the street.
Used these guys a few times. Generally stock is good and they recently had a load of new vans. Priced very competitively. Generally low fuss easy to deal with and good value
