“We stopped here for breatfast on our journey to go biking at sherwood forest. The breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked and a amazing cheap price. We bought some homemade cakes and the kids got to pick some 1p sweets for later in the day. The owners are lovely, they are a village shop/cafe so call in and give them your trade, it was only 6 miles away from the sherwood forest. As they are small they don't have a toliet.”

“I really enjoyed my visit to this coffee shop! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Everything is very clean and well-kept, and the food and drinks are fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Prices are also very reasonable, so you can enjoy great quality without overspending. Definitely a place worth returning to!”

“There's two cafes on site one just for the humans and one for the doggies and their human family. Its no longer a working pit. And the rewilding of the surrounding area is very well done. Because I remember it when it was black and very dusty.”

“The service is always great here. The staff are always friendly and professional. I also really like that every Capo Lounge has the same vibe through the UK. The ones I have been to in Mansfield, Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon are anyway. I can honestly say we have never had a problem with the service here. We eat and fine dine most weekends, but we still just love going for a good old English Fry Up! The cocktails are lush and YES, I drank one before 12pm ;)”

“Visiting Mansfield for first time in many years due to a recent family bereavement, and found Lucy’s cafe very close to the bus station. Staff were really friendly, and nice welcoming feeling. Had a couple of really nice coffees, and some breakfast, all of which were lovely. Service was friendly and welcoming. Stopped by the following weekend when visiting again and will do so again when I’m next in town visiting my grandma.”

“Visited 08/10/25 for the cycle trails. We ate here first & were very impressed with the food. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice & at the time we were there the service was almost immediate. Prices were typical cafe prices, but in my opinion the food definitely exceeded expectations. We will be back here soon I’m sure!”

“I arrived 15mins early for my shopping. Expecting to be turned away only to be greeted by 2 lovely gents. I believe there names were harry and Steve. They were extremely helpful considering I am in a wheelchair. They packed my shopping while also having a laugh with me. Top lads. Can’t thank them enough.”

“I live about a mile from Roots,and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.”

“I called Coco today to order a takeaway salad from their new deli bar Tom, Dick and Harriets. The order was easy to place and ready to takeaway as soon as I got there. I was welcomed with the most beautiful warm and friendly staff. My sons absolutely loved the olive and feta salad box and it easily fed them both. As a mum it ment alot to me that my boys could enjoy some homemade healthy and nutritious food to take home rather than your average "takeaways" . We can't wait to come back and enjoy coffee and cake at Coco and also takeaway some more delicious food from the deli. This is exactly what Mansfield needed.”

“What delightful place! Had a decadent hot chocolate made with actual chocolate flakes in hot milk, mini marshmallows and cream. The baked potato was divine, as was my fiancées chicken and brie panini !”

“My daughter and I had afternoon tea here yesterday. It was really nice. The food was fresh. Good selection of items for afternoon tea. Beautiful Teashop and lovely staff. The owner was very nice and accommodating. They also do theme nights, which I'm sure we shall be back to join. The menu was great for other occasions. Breakfasts and lunches, or a drink and a snack. The shop itself was decorated lovely, with indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs were also welcome. Set in lovely surroundings in a park. We will definitely go again.”
