“Was excited to come here after enjoying a couple of meals at Empire Cafe. I might have actually enjoyed the meal here more! Some particular highlights were the homemade black pudding, cold cut smoked beef, sausage roll and BBQ carrots. Service was very fast, and staff were relaxed and friendly. Only warning would be that some of the larger plates were very large (think schnitzel bigger than your face), so bring someone hungry to share with!”

“I stopped at Two Sisters for lunch. There’s lots of seating available and the place has a lovely vibe. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the halloumi toastie. It arrived quickly and was just as described. Delicious! I’d definitely come back if I visit Skipton again.”

The steak, cooked to a juicy medium as requested, was tender and seasoned flawlessly. A huge shout-out to the server Brad! “First visit to this large restaurant on Whitehall Road; at the foot of that tower that’s had so many problems with the cladding. Now scaffolding free, it made me notice this place afresh. Inside the restaurant is bright and airy, white walls and marble floors. There’s a nice vibe in here of an evening. Chill yet traditional. You sense the meal will be good. Nice big menu with lots of choice. Pizza, pasta and steak. Also fish. Opted for the venison wellington; I love venison and it sounded like a dish that would be rich and hearty. Not wrong, a beautiful (and big) portion of perfectly pink venison in a light and flaky crust. Wow, could eat that all day. So very rich with a hearty sauce, turnip to the side. I wish more places would use game. The chef here clearly knows his meat. Excellent. The steak must be fantastic. Reasonably priced as well. The beer was Moretti; as it should be when it isn’t Peroni. Definitely recommend giving this place a try next time you’re in town. They do specials too, so a chance at finding something unexpected and intriguing on the menu. Always welcome. Two paws up. Well done.”

“Excellent rock bar, one of a dying breed of pubs nowadays. Excellent live acts from local and further afield, rock/ metal bands. Well worth a visit if you are into this type of music. It's also one of the few remaining live music pubs in Wakefield.”

“My wife and I visited here for lunch today. Brie and cranberry bagel (left out the bacon as I’m a vegetarian!) was very nice. My wife had the New York Classic - smoked salmon and cream cheese - she said it was also very nice. Many thanks for an enjoyable and relaxing lunch with jazz music in the background.”

“Had a fabulous meal at Mykonos. It's a long time since since we have had Greek food, either in Greece or the UK, and we were excited to try it. The moussaka and lamb kleftiko did not disappoint! Delicious desserts, great atmosphere and very efficient and welcoming staff. We're sorry we're only staying for one night in Harrogate as we would definitely make this a regular choice of restaurant.”

“Had a delightful Sunday lunch today. Warm and friendly welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble....We chose a small roast option and so pleased we did....the plates brimming, plenty for us. Deserts sounded wonderful sadly we didn't have room. We will certainly return the our youngest as I know desert will definitely be eaten then! Thank for a very pleasant experience. “Great cocktails and good selection of beers. It was a busy day and the poor girl behind the bar was on her own but did a great job. Slight downside was that the toilet was well used by the time we got there and could have done with a bit of a clean.”
