“What a bar. Always a friendly welcome and treated as a regular even though our 'regular' is a few times a year when in Cleethorpes! Outstanding beer choices but there's something for everyone. If you're not sure the outstanding team there will help you out with a recommendation or two. There are also regular food events hosted featuring local chefs. Always a pleasure to head there.”

“Can't praise it enough. Really good meal. My husband had lamb and I had pork, both meals were really good. We both had Bailey and Hazel nut roulade, he had cream and I was rather cheeky and asked if I could have Baileys poured over mine. That's exactly what I got. Quite a small place, staff lovely and polite. The whole thing was less then £20 for both of us.”

“We came here for the first time this evening and we had a beautiful meal. We thought with it being part of the golf club it might be quite expensive but it was really reasonable. The portions were big and it was all homecooked and well presented. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. “This cinema offers a truly fantastic experience, featuring very comfortable seating and consistently friendly and helpful staff. They also provide an excellent selection of snacks. While it may be slightly more expensive than other cinemas in the vicinity, the quality of the experience certainly justifies the price.”

“Whilst all the other shops were closed or empty, Abbys was busy! Tucked away in Abbygate we stumbled across this place and was NOT disappointed. Highly recommend this place. Food was great. They don't scrimp on the fillings on their sandwiches. There are three tables outside for dogs.”

“Just had the most AMAZING Ethiopian meal at this restaurant. The lady who served us was so pleasant. She explained everything and kept checking to make sure we were okay. The food was fresh and flavourful. The aroma coming from the kitchen made it worth the wait. We also had an avocado shake that was so good. We live 3 hours away, but if we are ever in Hull again, we will definitely visit this restaurant. Much success to this establishment”

“Visited for lunch with a friend and we each had a sandwich - they were lovely and my only constructive critique would be to chuck a bit of foliage on the plate to break up the sea of (delicious) beige. Looking at the menu prior to ordering, there were some lovely vegetarian options but felt that they lacked the same level of thought that went into the meat options - I would love to see some more creativity here. Great drink selection, lovely atmosphere and the bar staff were super friendly and chatty, which really stood out and elevated the whole visit.”

“Came in for some food and it turns out it was the weekly quiz night. Had lots of fun and some banging food. John and Claire were really attentive too, bringing cutlery out before I’d even finished my order and running me through the different beers on tap.”

“On a very very wet and windy night out we had a great time at Sleepers. We received a great welcome and were shown to a pre booked dog friendly table. We'd also pre warned that one of our group had dietary issues and they couldn't have been more helpful in varying the menu to accommodate that. The waiter was amazing throughout, friendly, professional and delivering great service. The food was excellent - a varied menu catering for all tastes. No wonder the place was absolutely full resulting in a great atmosphere. An excellent night out.”
