Looking at the decor and prices, it's aiming above your average restaurant. There are special offers but the food doesn't justify the full price. My moussaka was bland, my friend's chips were not crunchy. Waitress Holly was patient and nice. Overall, even with the specials, not eager to go back.

Dropped off my wife and sister in law at Abby’s for a special lunch appointment. Both were delighted at the food and service. Steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. A really enjoyable afternoon Thank you.

Fantastic seasonal menu, great portion sizes without quality compromise. Fresh and well presented foods. Service professional and unobtrusive. Very well priced in comparison

Whilst all the other shops were closed or empty, Abbys was busy! Tucked away in Abbygate we stumbled across this place and was NOT disappointed. Highly recommend this place. Food was great. They don't scrimp on the fillings on their sandwiches. There are three tables outside for dogs.

Food and service is fantastic here. I had the deep fried brie for a starter, small fish and chips and mulled Eton mess for dessert and it was all good to perfection and tasted yummy. I will definitely be going back xx

Ordered from the set menu but this was charged at full price. I found the chicken to be tough and sent it back to the kitchen. A discount was applied to the price of the meal but it worked out to be roughly equal to the price I would have paid if the meal had been priced correctly in the first place. The fish pie was missing the prawns. I was disappointed at the quality of the food, given the price!

For a dear friends birthday and because of historic connections, we choose Abby’s wine Bar and Bistro. The date of our visit was November 2022. The first thing to say, is that the waitress was very nice and helpful. So onto our food experience. There was 6 of us for dinner and of the 6, 3 of us choose the ribs,,, but for some bizarre reason on a Tuesday evening, with half of the bistro empty,,,, they had ran out. We therefore made our revised selection. I chose the large fish and chips and waited for the food. The food arrived in a reasonable timeframe. The food however was well below standard,,, especially based on the fact I at home could have produced much better. This is not a boast,,, but having cooked for many years,,, I felt disappointed that I parted with money for a poorly made meal. The large fish and chips, by no standard was “large” and the amateur who cooked the food simply did not allow the oil to reach a sufficient temperature to fry the produce. The end result being soggy chips,,, and fish both tasting of oil. My friend ordered beef burger, which was again poorly cooked, to the point he did not finish more than 50% of his meal. All of the guests, including me, as this was meant to be a celebration,,,, did not make our disappointment across all of the meals known to Abby’s. Great disappointment and in no way did the meal represent value or quality.

Callum/Larissa were extremely attentive for our anniversary meal. I surprised my partner and told Callum he could go all out, we were surprised with balloons, confetti and an anniversary prosecco! The food was absolutely gorgeous and all the staff went the extra mile to make our evening special. We'd 100000% return, thank you for everything ❤️

Hidden gem in Grimsby, recommend to us and very appreciated. Delicious Eggs Royale for brunch, tasty mushroom on toast also. Nice coffee before back into town. Only thing missing is some cake (rather than dessert) but otherwise very pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful.
