   Food was not the best. Dim sum obviously warmed up because you can't cook Siu Mai in 5 minutes. Steaming basket that dim should have cooked in was cold, so only used for effect. Supermarket-bought items that you could sort at home. Dated establishment, felt like I'd gone back in time to the 70s. Tables covered in what looked like heavy patterned 70s wallpaper. They may as well have stayed closed. Two other people in restaurant, looked like they were wrestling with something slippery on their plates. Pictures show a bigger restaurant, so not sure what's going on there, like. Go elsewhere, like Cottingham or Hull, as there's jack all quality chinese in Grimsby/Cleethorpes, definitely no other sit in restaurants. And I really thought Alford was bad. Well, it still is. But, Grimsby and Cleethorpes is not much better. There, you go. A thoroughly honest review. You asked for it. Any decent reviews are clearly from friends of the restaurant owners, or people who have absolutely no idea about chinese food, or no actual taste buds.

   100% recommend to anyone, food was amazing and served so fast. All you can eat but made to order, nothing was too much trouble and it was all made fresh. Wonderful lady front of house and serving. £20 all you can eat and you definitely can get your moneys worth, just mad that we didn’t know about this place sooner! Will be going back, new favourite place

   After arriving at the Holiday Inn, we decided to try somewhere local for dinner. The restaurant was clean, pretty and the lady was friendly. Spoiled for choice, we ordered a few of the starters and were blown away. We then had some mains and knew we’d be coming back. Nothing was too much trouble and the lady very nicely accommodated to our little boy. Thanks for having us.

   We had just arrived in Grimsby and wanted a bite to eat. This place is the best hidden gem you could ask for. Our server was amazing with our child. And us. Gave us great recommendations. The food. The best Chinese food we have had. The salt and pepper chicken was to die for. The price is super cheap and fair. If you are in Grimsby you NEED to go to this place. 100/10 amazing place. Even showed the up coming Japanese menu that will be available soon!

   Ordered a take away, as we’ve done many times from Fan, on 2.2.23. Before it’s been good. Occasionally brilliant. This week it was horrific and we had to throw the mains in the bin. I know meat occasionally has fat on it but every single bit of meat in both our mains was entirely gristle and…tubing? Great big chunks of veins or something. Completely inedible. Chips and rice were fine and the dog quite liked the prawn crackers.

   WE attended Fan restaurant with friends on 9th December 2022 on walking in we where the only customers as time went on it did begin to get a few more, but we commented how cold it was even the staff said it is very cold .we where going to leave but didn't think we would get in anywhere else at short notice so stuck it out, every customer who entered was complaining how cold and sat with coats on some with scarves so bad for a restaurant that you go out to eat and want to enjoy, so sad really because the food is lovely would have rated 5 ☆ if was warmer and manager actually cared how cold her restaurant is. Apparently this is the normal for this place such a shame but will not recommend or be returning.

   Classy version of the buffet Chinese Only one warning, it is cash only but the shop across the road has a cash machine. Apart from that he room is pleasant and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. You pay a single price for your all-you-can-eat buffet but instead of a long queue past a row of warming dishes, you sit at the table and take your pick fromthe menu. A waitress will take your order The meal will be brought when it is ready and when you have finished you can order something else until you have had enough. The food is good quality. My favourite dishes were the Starter BBQ ribs in Peking sauce, the chicken curry, the Dim Sung home made grill dumplings (served in a bamboo steamer) and a sweet Custard dim sung as a desert. All served with my choice of rice. I was too full to have anything else and there was a huge choice

   I discovered this restaurant today (11 Aug, 2021). It has recently opened at the Wellowgate - Abbey Road junction in Grimsby. What a surprise! Some of the most authentic and tasty Chinese dishes that I have eaten outside China Mainland. My dream has been to once again eat dumplings 饺子 and steamed stuffed buns 包子. Though not the same cooking style or flavours as Northern China, they were very nice. I will certainly be back for more. I highly recommend that people give this restaurant a go and try some of the real flavours of China. 非常好吃！
