The bar at 55 whitefriergate is a stylish bar tucked away on the corner of Parliament Street in the back of an old bank. It specialises in cocktails using hothams gins distilled upstairs at the gin school, and premium bottled craft beers and lagers, no draft beers of any kind. Friendly staff, No bar games, some outside seating in Parliament Street.
Amazing place. Really unique and does one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! You must visit this hidden gem.

This is a hidden gem that we only found as a result of it being recommended on the back of the cocktail menu at Brain Jar! I was confused/excited whilst making my way up the stairs and corridors of the back of what used to be HSBC bank. I was then delighted when we made it to the bar itself! It's a stylish, modern, jazz-bar vibe offering Hull's own Hotham gins (which are well worth a try!), as well as other classy drinks. This place has to stay and should be on everyone's list of essential stop-offs whilst making their way around town.
Pleasant bar to visit the prices are above average but worth it
Great atmosphere, great music, exceptional cocktails and friendly staff. Isaac at the bar was great and informed us of the food, the membership, the services and discounts avaliable. Will be going back there regularly
Decided to come try Hull's newest addition to the bar scene on Whitefriargate this evening & I can honestly say it was an absolute delight! Great ambience with such lovely artwork of the Northern Soul era, accompanied with some of the nicest staff around. Look forward to the food service & being a future member!
