“Loved it here & we'll definitely be going back. Lovely pint of stout, fair prices, really friendly & comfortable with a welcoming atmosphere. They've got an interesting selection of drinks which a lot of thought has obviously gone into. The downstairs reminds me of an old tap room & the upstairs, a snug. Really good micropubs like this one are putting 'shall we pop out for a couple?' back on my list of midweek after-work activities. Doesn't take as many people to make it feel like a social gathering, and that's the thing that makes a couple of hours out, a really enjoyable break from the grind. Try it, I guarantee you'll enjoy it & it'll do your mental health the world of good to get away from work & the house & be amongst people.”

“Popped in as my hubby had seen it on someone's YouTube channel. We were pleasantly surprised . Friendly staff , huge choice of beers & spirits. We had some halloumi fries & chicken pakoras to snack on. Very tasty. Would highly recommend.”

“Tucked away in Sunny Bank Mills this pizza is heavenly. Din lighting supported by the natural light from the large old windows adds to the atmosphere, with the music volume perfectly sitting behind the background chatter. I had the garlic mushroom sauce wow, rich and creamy with a variety of mushrooms on a perfect garlic bread. The pizza was fantastic, wonderfully balanced sauce and tasty ingredients. Staff were cool and friendly, chill but attentive, and very welcoming. Loved it!!!!”

“Lovely little 'taproom' of a pub with Halifax Steam brews & decor inside. There's a small car park, and the pub itself is in a shipping container type add on to the brewery. The service is wonderful, kind, and child friendly. Prices & selection are decent & interesting. Would definitely return again, and our daughter loved the quirky fishtank bar. Thank you!”

“If you like real ale and craft beer, this is the best place to enjoy it. Its family run and full of atmosphere and nice people. They have music every Friday night at 8pm and if that's not your scene there is an upstairs section with more tables you can use which is a bit quieter but at other times the noise level makes it easy to talk to each other. Highly recommended .”

“We found this pub by chance when staying in the area during the August bank holiday weekend, they managed to squeeze us in last minute and so glad they did, we all ate something different and each meal was delicious Not only was the food lush the service was great too, all the staff were super friendly and helpful, quite clearly genuinely enjoy working there, we enjoyed it so much we went again the following evening, again all had something different and again the food was great . Really tastes great and home cooked and cooked well. I believe my dad will be talking about the steak and ale pie for EVER and my mum the chips Unfortunately I only took one photo, this is the beef lasagne, my meal from our first visit 100% recommended, my only regret is we didn’t go back for the Sunday roast, we went somewhere else in the area that had been recommended ! That’s a separate and less complimentary review”

“Not had food so can't comment. Staff are friendly and approachable. There is a group we go to on a Friday morning 10-1 that is aimed at getting the community together and helping the vulnerable to socialise rather than be alone at home.”

“We went on a Wednesday evening with friends on Wednesday. Two of us had the Tapas offers and our friends had a spicy curry sharing plate. The food was brilliant and the service was attentive. The bill came to £71 for all four including drinks. We left £80. Superb value at £20 per head. Tremendous!”

“Always wanted to try food in so today brought the parents along to try out the food so on food thoughts waiting time was was fine service was very professional plus friendly also the food was a delicious very tasty plus very filling my parents had the burgers which looked very well presented and from what they said very tasty . The price for 3 meals plus drinks just under £50 which you definitely can’t go wrong with but you can taste the difference between a spoons meal and a very well cooked meal . Definitely will call back and try something else”
