“I visited the international restaurant with a friend and I was very pleased. I didn't realize that they had an accessible entrance, and we managed to get in going up on step. The food was authentic and tailored to my tastes, as I can't take a lot of spices. Our waiter Mohammed Anik made sure i was looked after from start to finish. It did get boisterous at times as there were many birthday celebrations which made talking tricky but otherwise, zero complaints. The dhesi tea at the end was a wonderful finishing point too. I will definitely come again and would highly recommend”

“We have just moved into the area and have been trying to find a place that can offer quality Indian food at a reasonable price with good service included. We have definitely food it at Nawabi Baildon. The friendliness of Ali who took our order was a breath of fresh air compared with what we ate used to where we used to live. The driver (sorry didn’t get his name) was also so friendly. The food came when promised and the popadoms and pickle tray were very fresh. The onion bhajis were to die for and the curry that i had recommended was perfect taste served ‘Asian style.’ Just right for me. We are happy to have found our regular weekly curry.”

“We went as a fam of 4. We ordered- Chaat mains and dessert. The ‘must order’ dishes are definitely Sev Puri, Papdi Chaat and the Parathay. I have to say every single plate of food that came to our table tasted home cooked and freshly made. The Saag parathay are to die for honestly! I can’t wait to go back for another one haha! Being a family run business as well- they can alter the food as you like it and deliver an amaazing experience. The husband and wife duo were very courteous, friendly and hospitable. This kind of food- the proper desi Punjabi food is hard to find in Bradford- it’s a must try!!”

“We had dinner here before going to see the Lion King at The Alhambra. The food was delicious, we had a cold mixed started and a sharing mixed platter followed by some tea afterwards. All of the food was really tasty, I nearly asked for some more bread for the starter, but was glad I didn’t as I wouldn’t have been able to eat as much of the main then! The meat was tender and succulent! Yum.”

“Can't say enough of the service and amazing food. The pint of cobra off the tap in a beautiful glass was really something! The Argentine Malbec is a great choice if you like a mouth filling smooth red. The special dish fired in brandy is something to behold and the flavors omg. We weren't expecting a curry this early in the trip but weather drew us across the road from the mooring just below Bingley 3 rise to save getting g too wet. “Excellent quality food. Not huge portions and a little more costly than some other Indian Restaurants but definitely worth it. Everything freshly cooked and a perfect balance of spices and seasoning. They will make your dish just how you like it. Very accommodating owner/manager and friendly staff. Great service. They have a £9.99 3x Thursday and Sunday special on which is really good value for money. £6.99 for kids. I would suugest them to expand their menu to include Tawa platters, Arabic cuisine like Mandi and also some Noodles & Soups. They also help us celebrate our Birth Day party with nice chanting. “I love Al Nawab. Always fabulous food to take away or eat in. Very good sized portions, everything freshly cooked. Chicken sizzler is my favourite with lovely large chunks of chicken. You can ask for curries to be more or less spicy and the owners lovely son gives good recommendations. I have had curries from other local restaurants, but they are not as good quality and way more expensive. I like the fact you can take your own booze as it is obviously much cheaper and for anyone who doesn’t realise it isn’t licensed, a quick stroll to Tesco Co-op or Lidl can get you something to wash it all down with. Lovely family business great food and staff, highly recommended.”

I've been enjoying a curry for over 50 years in the heavy woolen area and I can honestly say it's one of the best takeaways I've had and I've tried quite a few. It reminds me of the Shama in Dewsbury I frequented in the 70s. I've had 5 from here and each meal was spot on. Top quality ingredients and generous portions. “Just a last minute decision to go out, and saw this place As soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed and the staff were so attentive. Great choice of dishes to suit all tastes. The food is freshly cooked and served hot in stainless steel puts with lids to keep them warm. They do not serve alcohol, but I can recommend the mango lassie, great flavour. All in all a pleasant experience, and we would go again.”
