   We came to this restaurant on the 17th of December 2025, and I must say it was fantastic. The food here is amazing and they are very good generous portions and you get what you pay for. The staff are so helpful and friendly and we were an extremely large group of 21 with some of us being visually impaired but this wasn’t a problem. They were so supportive in making sure we all got the correct food but not only that when we were going to pay if we needed to pay by card They would take the card from us and locate it onto the machine. A fabulous restaurant you will not find food like this anywhere else in Bradford please give them your custom.

   First time karahi in Bradford and believe me it’s the best mutton karahi I ever eat in uk , come to shimlas and must try their desi karahi , and most important the guy who was serving us Sohail , he doing best serving and I request to his manager give him something extra on weekend , thank you bro .

   My visit to Shimlas was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. What really made the experience stand out, though, was Sister Qamar’s exceptional service. She was warm, professional, and attentive throughout, making sure every detail was just right. Her welcoming attitude created a lovely atmosphere, and she handled everything with genuine care and efficiency. It’s clear she takes real pride in both her work and the satisfaction of her guests.

   I tried the mixed grill and chicken donner with naan, and both were absolutely packed with flavour. The meat was tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. The naan came fresh from the tandoor soft, slightly crisp at the edges, and just right for scooping up sauces. Portion sizes are generous, making it great value for money.    Exceptional service. So quick, high quality and very intuitive staff that looked out for our needs. We had our 5 month old and they were extremely accomodating in trying to make us comfortable, when we trying different things. So grateful this place is open untill 3 am. We were travelling and it took us a while to get everything together and eventually get out Had a really satisfying cheesy stir fry donner and dynamite prawns Lovely halal peace. Highly recommend

   Brilliant food, great flavour full of flavour and hot. Lovely waiter called Waqas told excellent care of our table, replenished with water and always asked if everything was alright. Ordered a mix of starters, the massal fish was lovely, nicely battered with a spicy coating and crispy coat, the seek kebabs were freshly grilled. The curries were well cooked, we ordered the kharais, a more dry dish, flavour was awesome. The chapatis were soft and of a good Yorkshire size. Will go again as have been impressed with food and service. The atmosphere was OK.

   Heard alot of good reviews about this place. It didn't live up to the expectation. I was looking forward to the starters but they weren't doing it for me. Food tasted bland the glasses were dirty. The mains were cold and the popadums were pretty much the only good thing. Didn't have the pickle tray, so we had to get mango chutney which was satisfactory/ okay. Not worth the hype.
