“Absolutely fantastic spot to have some brunch in Buxton, right on the high street. The food was outstanding and served quickly. I had a vegan samosa chaat which was delicious and they had a range of vegan/ gluten free foods. All very affordable with a decent portion size. Beautiful Indian street food done well. It was also busy, on a Monday, which tells me it’s a popular local spot. Tables were full and reserved. I’d highly recommend this if you’re visiting Buxton.”

“A large family group visit to Koinonia at Diwali to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday lunchtime. We all had the Diwali set menu including the child with us. We had a warm friendly welcome into the nicely decorated restaurant and the staff were all dressed in beautiful cultural clothing. We were seated and offered drinks promptly. Staff came to speak to us about gluten free changes/options for one of our diners and shortly after our food started to arrive. Wow absolutely amazing, each course was generous in portion size, looked fabulous, smelled unbelievably good and tasted fantastic. We were all thrilled with our meals and the cost was very competitive, drinks were fairly priced, 0% Cobra was also available for the drivers amongst our group. We would all highly recommend a visit to Koinonia it’s a gem of a restaurant in the centre of Newark on Trent with plenty of nearby parking options”

“Had Chicken Manthi, Chicken Lollipop, and Neelagiri Special Chicken, all were amazing! The taste and flavor were just like eating back home in Kerala. Perfectly cooked, rich in spice, and full of authentic flavor. Friendly staff and quick service too. Easily one of the best Kerala restaurants in the UK.”

The food was delicious and great to try something different to other Indian restaurants. “We recently visited the Indus restaurant for a family event used their function room and it couldn't have been better, spacious, beautifully decorated, and the service was exceptional, staff went above and beyond. Having used Indus previously the quality of the food is always on point and was no exception this time. Everyone who attended commented on how fantastic the food and setting were. Can't thank Naz and his team enough - This place is an absolute gem, Highly recommended!”

“Food is fantastic and service is always prompt. There are a couple of improvements I would suggest - the chicken in butter chicken is often quite large strips which I would prefer to see cut up as they can end up a little bland. There have also been a couple of occasions where I haven't been given enough sauce for the naan I have ordered to accompany the curry. Jhinook always offers something extra in place of a free cobra which is something we always appreciate but we would like the opportunity to stick with the offer of free chips as opposed to other sides that seem to be being offered now (we gave a few of these to our dog and last order without them felt less of a family meal). But these are all minor suggestions as we really do love eating here.”

“We recently ate here for a family reunion and the staff were incredibly kind to everyone but especially our son who uses a wheelchair and has profound disabilities. They called him Don Lucas (he was sat at the head of the table). They were so thoughtful in ensuring we were all looked after and we spent almost 4 hours enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and being disability inclusive. We will be returning for our next family get together.”

Peshwari Naan, mushroom rice, lamb shank in bhuna sauce, masala chips, tandoori lamb chops, tandoori king prawns, lamb puri, saag aloo, mushroom bhaji and a chef recommended curry which was all so so good and best I’ve ever had across the board, everything was just next level. Eyes bigger than our belly though so boxed up a few bits to take away - round 2 tonight, can’t wait ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Ordered a South Indian vegetarian sadhya for a function, delivered to Wakefield after being referred by a friend in Sheffield. The delivery was smooth and on time. The food was delicious, good quality, and very authentic — all our guests really enjoyed it. Pricing was reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. Will definitely order again and highly recommend.”

“We really enjoyed the buffet here on Tuesday night. The food was very tasty and there were a good number of dishes with varying levels of spice to choose from. The price was excellent for the quality and authenticity of the food, and included starters and dessert. My only criticism with the buffet was that the starters were starting to go cold, so perhaps they could do with being served in smaller containers and turned around more frequently.”

“There is plenty of parting but it does fill up easily when busy!. The place looks well inside will a recent addition of a booth with disinfectant vapour in, which was comforting. The staff was very friendly and the food was great, I had a punjabi masala which was fab definitely will go again.”

Had dinner here recently on the special £21.99 menu, had chicken chat to start, lamb tikka for main with rice and upgrade to keegan nan instead of plain. Absolutely mouthwatering and delicious. Didn't have desert or coffee. They did bring us a shot of baileys though. Staff and service were great as always. Highly recommended”

“A fantastic curry. We arrived early on a Thursday, we were the only people there, I did wonder if we had made the right decision. Well I can tell you the food was magnificent, superb flavours well cooked and presented. By the time we had finished the restaurant was packed, not a spare table, for a Thursday night to be this busy it must be good, the locals clearly know this is the curry house to go to. “We were recommended to visit this establishment by a friend, and to be honest, we weren't disappointed. We viewed the menu online beforehand and felt that the selection of dishes was much more extensive than at other Indian restaurants we had dined in before. Upon our arrival, the staff made us feel very welcome. We were seated at a window table and promptly served drinks, allowing us time to peruse the menu. Many of the dishes offered, apart from the classic curries, looked intriguing, so we decided to ask for more information. TThe waiter who served us was very knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions for us to try. The food was cooked to perfection, and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes he recommended. Each dish offered something unique, ranging from mild to very spicy, and the presentation was outstanding with vibrant, well-displayed plates. Overall, the dining experience at Lancers was well worth the trip, especially if you're looking for something different from the typical Indian food offered at most curry houses. I would highly recommend this restaurant, as it offers a dining experience that's worth the visit.”
