“Lovely meal at papa’s for the 8th year running. I had the lobster ravioli which was lush, the cannoli which was superb and the lemon pancakes which were divine - you cannot come here and not have the lemon pancakes they are the nicest thing you will ever eat.”
“Had Chicken Manthi, Chicken Lollipop, and Neelagiri Special Chicken, all were amazing! The taste and flavor were just like eating back home in Kerala. Perfectly cooked, rich in spice, and full of authentic flavor. Friendly staff and quick service too. Easily one of the best Kerala restaurants in the UK.”
“Tasty Halal food. Customize your order on the screen and pay then wait for less than 10 minutes.”
“Great food, really tasty, quick even though we didn't have a booking, sat downstairs for this reason, and it didn't takeaway from the service or speed (a Friday night) Well decorated and laid out. Had a duo start playing some music too, which suited the atmosphere and they were cracking. My only issue, and this is a wider opinion of restaurants and bars these days is 'tipping'. I'm more than happy to pay a tip once food drinks and service has been given, but the pushiness on asking for a tip when you've made the order before receiving any service that could be tipped, especially when you've sat at the table and they're not offering table service(which I completely understand and accept as we were a walk in) no reflection on this restaurant in particular as many do it now. Just a note that perhaps skip that option or open a tab or order that can be paid off.”
“We really enjoyed the buffet here on Tuesday night. The food was very tasty and there were a good number of dishes with varying levels of spice to choose from. The price was excellent for the quality and authenticity of the food, and included starters and dessert. My only criticism with the buffet was that the starters were starting to go cold, so perhaps they could do with being served in smaller containers and turned around more frequently.”
“First time i have ever had from here tonight and the food was so nice best takeaway i have had for a long time”
“Never come across this place before but really glad that I did. Very unassuming from the outside, however once inside this place was very impressive with some great authentic Persian food, great presentation and great service. The decor was stunning too. Had to finish the evening with some traditional Persian tea which really finished the night off perfectly. Looks like it's had a refit too. You really need to check this place out!”
“Great place. Staff knows their way about beer and food. Bit expensive but worth every penny ☺️”
“Food here is absolutely amazing! It's perfect for our family to suit both vegetarians and meat eaters. The service is impeccable and the 2 regular servers are very welcoming, polite and friendly. We've been back multiple times and will continue to do so.”
“This was the first time I've tried chicken burrito here and I totally loved it,chicken was juicy and properly cooked!, I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good chicken burrito in Sheffield!!!”
“This place deserves 5 stars regardless but today they went above and beyond. Waited half an hour for my order so went to check up on it and found out their till hadn't flagged it up. They immediately offered me anything off the menu for free as well as my food because of my wait but I declined because it wasn't their fault. When they brought my food they had given me extra fries and then offered to refund my order. Incredible food backed up by really kind and generous staff! Can't recommend this place enough!”
“Tried tonight as the new area we moved to allows for delivery. Got to say it was one of the nicest jal frezi's I've had in a long time. Delivery driver was extremely honest and came back when I gave him two 20s that were stuck together and I hadn't noticed so we are extremely grateful for that. Will definitely back next time we fancy a curry.”
“Great atmosphere and fantastic cocktails served by Kate and Sarah. Large range of beers, and the food is delicious. This place is well worth a visit !”
“Had food here. It was so good. Like really really good. I had the pizza and my partner had pie and mash. Portions were fair and the food was really good quality and fresh. No honestly it was, the pizza was amazing I really do recommend checking it out. They do vegan and gluten free options and the staff are really sweet and helpful too. The chips are so tasty. I am still thinking about them 50 minutes later. Dog friendly also.”
“I thought I'd stop giving my money to those pesky American chains and try a local pizza by local people. Boy they did not disappoint! Ingredients quality is much higher and our pizzas had this beautiful char from what I assume is a wood fired oven. Piecewise it's about the same as a D*****'s and delivery was exactly on time so it's a no brainer, this place is my official new pizza provider. I can't wait to try the calzones!”
“Sad to see it go. Been coming here for years and the food is always great. Always lovely to their customers.but regardless sad to see things end”
“The best pizza - Luigi hand stretches all the bases personally, unlike most of the pizza shops around here that use pre-made bases. The prices have barely increased in the 30+ years that this place has been open. He doesn't deliver, he doesn't need to, its that popular. If you want a Friday tea-time pizza phone it in or you will be waiting, it's that popular.”
“A fantastic place to stay, can't wait to go back! I was travelling with a baby so emailed ahead to check suitability. The staff were very helpful and suggested I book the Stables as it's a separate building to the others. The room was very spacious; even with a cot, pushchair and changing mat in the room there was still plenty of space for me to pace around in the middle of the night. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was amazing. I love a hot shower and am usually disappointed, but here I had to turn the water down which is very rare. The bed seemed a bit soft to start with but actually was very comfy, and there was no noise from the pub aside from twice we heard another guest coming and going. The location was fab, with plenty of walks right on your doorstep and a short distance to Bakewell I'd definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat”
“We went, with another couple, for Sunday lunch yesterday. Very nice pub and atmosphere. The food was excellent. The roast meats were lovely and tender. Loads of veg, yorkshires and plenty of it. We had one person who could not eat such a large meal so perhaps they could have smaller portions on the menu as an option.. The young lady who served us was very nice. We would definitely recommend this village pub.”
“Triple Point Brewery is one of my absolute favourites! I’m here almost twice a week sometimes with the family and it never disappoints. The beers are always spot on, and the Snake Burgers… wow, seriously tasty! Great vibes, friendly people, and just an all-around awesome place to hang out. Big thank you for everyone who works there for making the place even more incredible!”
“Would never have considered going to this pub but, went to watch friend of my daughter perform a magic show. The show was in a private room, upstairs. The pub itself is clearly traditional, like those of my (distant) youth. It’s full of character, nooks and crannies. If you’re an ale/beer aficionado you should enjoy the selection available. Great atmosphere. No rowdies (on a Wednesday at least). Relaxed and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit. The magic was outstanding…but obviously one night only. Oh, and there’s pies. Will have to return for one of those!”
“I lovely little hotel, with different types of rooms for all occasions. They had a live singer and three course meal the weekend we were there.”
“Recently stayed for two nights, whilst trading at an event at the Lincoln showground. A small, but very comfortable and clean room, with everything needed, including good wifi. Very friendly hosts, who did earlier than normal breakfasts for us, as we needed an early start. Breakfast was lovely, good choice, plentiful and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.”
“The food is incredible and they have a huge sauce selection too. The only downside is the patrons this place seems to attract, they are very loud and seem to bring their whole extended family! Not pleasant when children are running wild when you’re trying to enjoy a nice meal.”
“Made my first visit to this pub in February 2024 after hearing so much about it for many years. One of the main recommendations was based on the choice of beers but, being coeliac, I wasn't sure if it would be suitable. However, I was very pleased when I was offered a list of gluten free beers to choose from - albeit in bottles and not on draught (but maybe one day?). As they had a number of Wold Top beers, I decided to try the Marmalade Porter, which was nice and refreshing even on a damp and overcast day. Didn't have any food while we were there but having heard about the gluten free options since, I would like to try it on another visit. It's a lovely old-fashioned pub with friendly staff and a place that was worthy of its recommendation so I would like to pass on the recommendation.”
“Call in for a mid week tea, and what a tea it was, expanding waist band needed, the mix grill was absolutely mega. The other meals were spot on and no complaints at all, very nice and very good quality. The beer was off the charts, I don't think I've ever seen a beer as clear and as bright as their pale ale. Stunning Top service, really friendly and welcoming.”
“Visited this morning with a friend and had such a lovely experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was fantastic – the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale were perfectly done, and the coffee was spot on. A great start to the day!”
“Really nice place. Good service and good sausages. The staff were very friendly. Expensive, but worth it”
“If you’re craving bold flavors with just the right amount of kick, the Spicy Dip Burger and Wings are a must-try. The burger comes juicy, perfectly seasoned patty smothered in a rich, fiery sauce that balances heat with flavor. Each bite is layered with fresh toppings that cool things down just enough, making it both satisfying and crave-worthy. The wings are the perfect sidekick—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and tossed in a spicy glaze that lingers with a mouthwatering punch. They’re addictive on their own, but paired with the burger, you get the ultimate combo for spice lovers. Whether you like your food with a little fire or you’re chasing that extra heat, this duo delivers big flavor without overwhelming the palate. Definitely a go-to for anyone who wants comfort food with attitude!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Breakfast! Fresh food, great taste, and fast service. Highly recommended!”
