“The meat quality is better than expected from a chain restaurant. The sweet chilli curry source is definitely a very sensational dip which made an impression. The portion of serves was with great value too. The staff were diligent and polite, cleaning and serving food efficiently. Great place for a quickie nice kebab”

“Going through Uber Eats was terrible as they would not allow me to amend/cancel an order that was literally placed seconds before. I ended up calling straight to store to ensure my dietary requirements were met/I didn't waste my money. Whoever was on the other side of the phone was amazing. They resolved my issue and made sure my food arrived correctly. A massive thank you for whoever it was that made sure I didn't end up in a food mood!”

“We dined at the Dog & Hedgehog as a spur of the moment Sunday lunch out. We called ahead to check availability (table for 2) and the friendly staff were able to fit us without any issues. The Sunday lunch menu had a very large selection of main meals to choose from including the traditional Sunday roast with a great choice of meats. The Sunday roast was well presented and accompanied by a selection of seasonal vegetables and cauliflower cheese, which was AMAZING! Every element of the dish was delicious, in particular the meat was plentiful, perfectly cooked and well carved.”

“Update: Actually revisited with family, 5 people. Unfortunately quantity of meat was small and not good value for the cost of the meal. We spoke to the staff and they refused to give any more. Disappointed in the service. Won't be returning and reducing my rating. Amazing food, absolutely loved it! The best Doner I've ever eaten without question! Had lunch and got the Kebap and Wrap Doner. Bread was fresh, salad tasty, and the Doner an sauces were spot on. Got the chips with Harrissa which were good. Both myself and the Mrs were in agreement that we will be coming back regularly. Great service, really clean. Got free Oreo milkshake shots which tasted amazing so will be grabbing one next visit. Owner is a really nice guy and nothing was too much trouble. If you haven't been yet, then get over there! So good!”

“I haven't been here since I was a teenager! in those days there wasn't even mains electricity! there was a generator out the back in a shed, how things have changed, absolutely lovely place, canalside setting, tasteful decor, stunning views and fabulous food, honestly, the carvery is to die for! I'll post some photos, the food is as good as it looks, the staff are wonderful, friendly and efficient, once you've had you're fill, there's Foxton Locks themselves, an amazing piece of engineering and a fabulous view from the top lock, all in all a great place to while away a few hours and get a fabulous feed”
