“Has to be one of my favourite restaurants, certainly in Leicestershire! What you get here is first class service from the moment you walk in with a happy greeting! A relaxing drink at the bar and when you get to the table the quality of tapas is outstanding - don’t confuse what they do here with cheap chain restaurant tapas - this is VERY high quality & different- Lamb Biriyani Tacos, Roasted carrot tarte tatin! I know my wines & here they serve good wines, not wines you can get everywhere! Our last meal here was a birthday celebration and we were really looked after- please pay a visit and see my photos”
“Absolutely delightful, & very popular, vintage cafe serving hot drinks, 'light bites' & home made cakes & scones in friendly & truly authentic surroundings. Listen to 'Our Gracie' on the radio, read the latest from the front in the 'morning papers' & browse the original ornaments & niknaks on display. If travelling far, I would recommend reserving a table as it soon fills up. On road parking can be a problem as it's a residential area, so you may have to walk a little way, but it's worth it! Why not call in to Kibworth DIY over the road too, if visiting, thèy have a fantastic range of original DIY material including Primus & Tilley accessories!”
“What a turnaround! After the absolute fiasco at the Quorn Hotel (our original anniversary plan – let’s just say we won’t be rushing back), we decided to try this place instead. And wow, what a glow-up for our evening! Yes, there were a couple of little hiccups with the food at first – but the staff fixed everything so quickly and so cheerfully that we almost wished something else would go wrong, just to see them in action again. Customer service here deserves a standing ovation! The music was a tad on the loud side, but we powered through like two seasoned party veterans. The chicken curry was tasty – even if the chicken clearly came from a very proud thigh and not a breast – and those sweetcorn fritters? Honestly, they could have been the star of the night. Crispy, golden little bites of happiness! All in all, this restaurant turned a shaky start into a great anniversary evening. Not bad for Plan B – might even be Plan A next time. In summary a nice but lively place with decent food and drinks well worth a visit, we look forward to going here again.”
“I came here with my girlfriend and we were blown away by how good the food was! Everything was packed with flavor - the lobster, prawns, mussels, and sides were all cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. The sauce was rich, buttery, and full of spices - honestly one of the best seafood boils we've ever had! The restaurant itself has a great vibe, really nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. With the drink discount, we paid around £60, which was amazing value for the quality and portion size. If you love seafood, this place is a must-try. We'll definitely be coming back for more!”
“A great place to meet up with friends, attentive service and wonderful food, can't wait to visit again.”
“We came here after a huge mess around at another restaurant close by. The staff were so much more welcoming and quickly booked us in for a table which was due to be 20 minutes after arriving. We asked if we could come back and they agreed. We came back in time for our table and they sat us down. The service was very good. The staff were all attentive and smiley! The service was very fast considering how packed they were! The food was absolutely brilliant and we were all very happy with what we got! The portion sizes are very good also! Definitely give Zizi a try! The only downside is it can be abit noisy but the food and service most definitely outweighs this!”
“Delicious food and excellent service in a comfy, clearly-local restaurant. We went for dinner and were most definitely not disappointed! The staff were friendly and bubbly throughout, and the food was not only surprisingly cheap but surprisingly good! Would gladly recommend.”
“La Maison Cafe is a welcoming city‑centre spot serving tasty all‑day breakfast, brunch, burgers and desserts with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and halal options. The French toast and pancakes are standout favourites, and many visitors praise the friendly, attentive staff and cosy atmosphere. Portions are generous and the menu has something for everyone, from smashed avo to mocktails and sweet treats. A great choice for a relaxed meal or coffee with friends in Leicester”
“Me and my bestie have our Christmas dinner here every year. It was especially good this year :) all the servers were lovely especially Kristina. Thank you! Vegan pizza was lovely.”
“Absolutely fantastic food. Great service and not too expensive.”
“Fantastic food great service friendly staff . Definitely recommend 100%”
“First time here for me and Karen, since change of ownership and the food is excellent. The menu is now very different and all the food is full of authentic flavours. Will definitely be returning. You can still take your own alcohol as before but they now have a drinks licence as well and the prices are very reasonable.”
“I ordered Butter Chicken, parathas, chilli bajji, baingan bajji. All the bajji were absolutely delicious. Butter chicken was extremely sweet unlike any butter chicken dish I've tasted elsewhere - disappointing. Paratha were nice. The guy that runs it was really nice also.”
“I must say this place is awesome if you fancy some paan. I usually stick with sweet paan but they do have options of several flavours. The leaves are fresh along with the ingredients. I have tried paan from other locals but you can't beat this place. It's clean and the service is outstanding. The chap behind the counter is friendly and has a great smile.”
“Classic Italian with a good range of pasta and seafood dishes. Although busy service was excellent; friendly but unobtrusive. Food is all cooked fresh but the wait was relatively short given the quality of what they are producing. I’d book ahead as it was pretty full when we there.”
“New review and a very different story. As this is local to us we are frequent visitors and today’s experience was great. Food delicious. ‘Goat your back’ my tried and tested favourite! My previous experience been completely overshadowed and everything back on track to the usual high standards. Thank you.”
“Love the breakfast here, such a great addition to cosby village”
“Nice atmosphere, delicious food, kindly staff. Strongly recommend this location.”
“Found this shop while going around town. It does not disappoint. Amazing food, very flavourful. Just the rice itself, so much flavour in there. Definitely recommend it for a quick bite.”
“Petrina was a wonderful host and helped me pick out one of the most flavourful chicken burrito bowls I’ve had in a while! She and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating — I was a bit unsure of what to choose, but they guided me through the options and made the experience really enjoyable. The bowl itself was absolutely delicious!”
“Superb in every way you can imagine. My duck ramen was totally delicious, deep savoury broth, perfectly cooked noodles & a generous portion of succulent, crispy duck breast. I have no plans to move to Leicester but if I did this little restaurant location would definitely be a factor & I can't praise the place highly enough. 10/10”
“The Red Lion in Sapcote is exactly what a proper pub should be — great beer, friendly locals, and a brilliant atmosphere. The pints are always perfectly kept, and the staff make everyone feel welcome. Whether it’s a quiet midweek pint or a busy weekend night, it’s always a great place to be!”
“Amazing place to go to. The ambiance and vibe is so nice and cozy it’s so relaxing. The food tastes amazing and it’s not a long wait either. The staff are lovely and the pricing is also very affordable. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our time there greatly and will definitely be revisiting!”
“Absolutely incredible food, lovely service too. I had the lamb shank curry with sticky rice and it’s up there with one of the best things I have even eaten. My partner had a stir fry in Oyster sauce and loved it. We both shared a mixed starter which was delightful. Reasonably priced too. Would 100% Recommend and we can’t wait to return”
“I stopped by this Indian restaurant on Saturday and had such a great experience. The food was authentic tasting (i’m very Indian) without being overpowering, and everything was fresh. What really stood out, though, was the service. Sauman took care of our table and was genuinely warm, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. It made the whole meal feel even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“The food here is absolutely amazing – a solid 10/10! Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly, engaging, and super nice, which made the whole experience even better. I also loved the touch of K-pop playing in the background – it really added to the atmosphere. It’s a shame that Korean cuisine isn’t as popular in the UK as it should be, but I truly hope this restaurant does well because they absolutely deserve it. Highly recommended! 감사합니다”
“I think one of the best places for steak in Leicester. Nice lean and tasty steaks. The inside is nice and cosy and can seat a few people. The food is fresh and tastes delicious as we had the sizzling mix. Defo recommend to eat here.”
“The first time we went here was for the Open Mic which is every Wednesday. Love the decor, the staff are friendly and welcoming, a great space to chill or to get down on the dance floor! Very aesthetically pleasing and great tasting cocktails for a reasonable price!”
“Recently moved to the area and this has now become our local. Excellent food and great service. Once forgot a beer from my order and when I rang them, they sent someone to deliver instantly. All round fantastic”
“We just popped in after watching Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat at Kilworth and found the whole experience brilliant. The food, the service and surroundings. Above the Golf club, The Attic has a large terrace and lovely furnishings. We started with a lovely selection of very tasty, just baked breads and generous portion of butter and oil. I had the pan seared mackeral for a starter, salmon, chorizo with fondant potatoes and veg for main and lemon meringue for desert....all extremely tasty and the service was spot on. My fiancé had the veg Wellington which was great. Two courses at £16 and three at £19 is great value. Thoroughly recommend and will be back to try the other dishes on the menu.”
