   We recently moved to the village and this little gem is on our doorstep!!! Breakfast or lunch there is always something amazing on the menu!!! The staff are so friendly and helpful!! I wanted to treat the wife to a gingerbread latte ( her fav festive ) but the Christmas menu was up and we had lunch. I had the festive ciabata and the wife had a sourdough toasties with caramelised onion and cheese. They were absolutely AMAZING!!! WHAT A JOY TO HAVE ON THE DOORSTEP!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

   I have just had the pleasure of meeting the new owner of The Cook in the book, Max. Met a friend for breakfast and I can’t recommend it enough. Delicious food & a nice atmosphere. The waitresses were friendly and made us feel they were happy for us to be there. Always good-to support local businesses especially when local people own them. Don’t miss out on this little gem in the heart of our wonderful village. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you x

   I love this cafe! Gorgeous food and drinks, lovely cafe space and delightful people. The coffee is great (local St Martins beans) and as everyone else says, all ingredients are locally sourced. They don’t have soya milk but that’s because it can’t be sourced locally or sustainably - their local oat milk is lovely and they have other non dairy options. Great selection of fresh baked cakes and goodies, including 3-4 gluten free and 3-4 vegan options every day - such a refreshing change from the usual brownie/flapjack! This is an absolute fave and I will keep coming back.

   Fantastic cafe in Cosby. Visited today with fiancée for breakfast and a drink and wasn't disappointed in any area from a very warm greeting, to a very swift and prompt delivery of our drinks (latte and a hot chocolate - thankyou Lois!) to receiving a beautifully cooked "the full Cosby" breakfast. Set us both up for the day! Will be returning as this is fabulous for our village. Many thanks again. Gary & Lisa.

   Genuinely one of the best breakfast spots in Leicestershire. The food is homemade or locally sourced and always delicious! Terry one of the owners and their team are always delightful. Very dog friendly in there too. The milkshakes and fresh bakes (especially cinnamon buns) are also incredible. Can't say a bad word about this place, love it here!
