βService has improved, food and portions were good.staff were smiling and delivered great customer service.β
βThe waitress Laura was exceptionally professional and an excellent advisorβattentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful in guiding our choices. Her recommendations made the experience truly enjoyable. Sophie and Fabien from switzerlandβ
βThe food was amazing and so is the service ...The servers were well trained and the management was amazing .. Have to take one name and he is Rupam and his hospitality and service was outstanding. He was always there when needed on the table. Good job Rupam and your team fir fantastic service. Sure will come back againβ
βSmall cosy restaurant with lovely staff who explained a lot about the background of some of the food. Food was fantastic and we even got a surprise pudding on the house. Keenly priced too and definitely go back.β
βIt's a small but comfortable place with a different vibe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd give a 4 on cleanliness, but I wouldn't call it dirty. The food was in generous portions (we had the tuna melt and baked potatoes) and so was the coffee. Overall, we were very happy with the meal.β
βReally nice and relaxed atmosphere and staff very welcoming and friendly. The premises is nicely decorated and a stones throw from the town center. Plenty of parking available around the area. The food was really tasty and a healthy selection of dishes on the menu. Catered well for gluten free options which is great to see.β
βAmazing food, even better staff! Thank you Harry for your lovely hospitality. My friend and I are having the best lunch break in sunny Aberdeen. Will visit again, cheers!β
βAbsolutely fantastic experience every time! The food is always fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always make you feel welcome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has such a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!β
βI used Google reviews to find this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing; great portions and everything was so flavoursome. We shared Arancini balls to start. The best I've ever had. Not too big and very tasty. My friend had the chicken dish of the day and despite loving it, she couldn't finish it. What a beautiful plate of food; the chicken was so moist. I chose the smoked fish risotto and regretted it not. Just perfect! If this restaurant was in my home town of Edinburgh I'd be recommending it to all my friends and family.β
βWhat a cracking wee place!!! Awesome food, fab service just lacking atmosphere a bit. Seated on time, full menu explained to us along with the specials but we had decided before we got there!!! Only complaint was the type of burger bun, the lid pretty much disintegrated when we put into it, meaning that the filling was allmlvet the place and not so much a burger anymore. We'll be back for sure!!!β
βCame here during restaurant week and it was so good, we had to come back again soon after. Good value for the portion sizes and the flavours transports you straight to south india. My go to restaurant if I need to scratch my dosa itch.β
βGreat spot with a fantastic beer selection - they're all brewed by Fierce, but you will find at least a few that you like. Shout out to Kitty for providing restaurant recommendations AND verifying they were all open.β
βThe best place to be in! Food is delicious. Staff service always ready to help, chief is the best. Recommended for any occasion, such as birthday party or just casual meal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDβ
βAmazing self contained mini flat. So well thought out! It has everything you need and is only 10 minutes drive from town. Quiet, comfortable, safe and great facilities. 100% would stay here again. They should start a chain of these! People in reviews complaining about no change of towels etc clearly didnβt use or check out the laundry facilities as there are towels and bin bags etc in there so you can either swap up or wash the ones you have been using. The laundry is a great bonus. I stayed a week as a base for house-hunting in Aberdeen and itβs really a home away from home. Yes it can get hot but the advise of using the fan and propping the door open works just fine. Best value for money catered apartment that Iβve stayed in.β
βLovely fresh food. Great meal everytime. Highly recommendβ
βFabulous meal Fabulous service lovely atmosphere staff very helpful thank you kind regards ronnie mathieson hopefully return soon have a wonderful weekendβ
βReally delicious food and a great find. They made us all feel very welcome. The only downside was the lighting which was just too bright. Dim those lights and it'll be perfect!β
βIβm from India and came to Aberdeen for office work. After trying several restaurants around the city, I can say that 8848 Restaurant is the best so far! Their Veg Thali and other dishes are absolutely delicious β full of authentic flavors and great variety. I also tried Travancore, but honestly, all the dishes there tasted very similar, which was a bit disappointing. If you're in Aberdeen and craving Indian food, I highly recommend 8848 for a satisfying and tasty experience!β
βHave visited twice now. Once for coffee & cake and once on a Sunday for food. Cool place with a relaxed vibe and great views. Food was great too. All home made stuff. Dog friendly.β
ββοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ We booked Carron to Mumbai in Stonehaven on the day for a large family group of 12, including grandparents and a 6-month-old baby, after a funeral. From start to finish, the team couldnβt have been more accommodating. Drinks were topped up promptly, and the service was attentive without ever feeling overbearing. The menu offered all the well-loved classics alongside some really interesting dishes I hadnβt seen before. We shared pakoras, bhajis, poppadoms, dips, and sizzling meats to start, and I had the Karahi Chicken for my mainβabsolutely delicious. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The food was excellent, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt effortless despite us being a big group. Couldnβt recommend more highly!β
βDifficult to fault. We came here on a personal recommendation, and I'm struggling to find a reason for going to another Indian restaurant nearby. A wide selection of standard and non standard dishes was a good start, as was listing the starters as vegetarian, and non-vegetarian! We all had mains only, and remarked on the presentation, quality and freshness of the food. Friendly service and good valueβ
βThis was my 5th visit for Sunday Lunch and it did not disappoint, in fact actually exceeded my expectations, this must be the tastiest Roast Beef Lunch in Aberdeen and the Shire β¦ having tried numerous at various restaurants. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. A must for anyone looking to treat themselves!!β
βBeen going to it since the 1990's and still the same excellent food and attentive service from friendly staff.β
βGreat Italian restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommending for a visit!β
βWe managed to get a table in the corner as we didnβt have booking. The service was very good. Onion bhaji was tasty although not crispy. The naans were pretty big. The bhendi masala and veg navarathan sabji were delicious. The murgh balti was just enough spice to my liking. Warm towel and orange quarters were a good touch at the end.β
βGood food. A good range of meal options. Staff friendly and efficient. As it is situated away from the town centre and is part of the golf club, it is peaceful. There weren't any children during our two separate visits, mainly older golfers. Not that I mind children, but if you want a more peaceful lunch, it is a goo7d place to go. You may have a slightly longer wait as food is freshly cooked. It's not a problem when you can relax and enjoy the nice trees and greenery around the golf course.β
βHidden gem ...authentic Indian buffet . All dishes were explained in full by very pleasant staff. Spoke with the chef about on of the dishes as I remarked how good it was and he explained how the dish was made . Very impressed with dishes for such a small set up . Would highly recommend and will definitely be back . Chef also said its different selection every weekendβ
βWe travel to Potterton on a regular basis to get the amazing food from the Shish Inn. Full of amazing flavours and always freshly made and as a family we all enjoy the choices on the menu.β
βA big thank you to Lynn for all her help I really appreciate it. Itβs not just an iCentre itβs also a very lovely souvenir shop.β
βVisited Aberdeen for a family wedding, the Charlotte apartments were perfect for all our families to stay together without sharing spaces and not to mention the affordable price. Rooms were all clean, kitchen had everything we needed and the location was ideal as it was close to the airport. Would recommend staying at if youre there for 2/3 days+. I hope to visit again soonβ
