“I must say this place is awesome if you fancy some paan. I usually stick with sweet paan but they do have options of several flavours. The leaves are fresh along with the ingredients. I have tried paan from other locals but you can't beat this place. It's clean and the service is outstanding. The chap behind the counter is friendly and has a great smile.”

I have no plans to move to Leicester but if I did this little restaurant location would definitely be a factor & I can't praise the place highly enough. 10/10”

“Absolutely incredible food, lovely service too. I had the lamb shank curry with sticky rice and it’s up there with one of the best things I have even eaten. My partner had a stir fry in Oyster sauce and loved it. We both shared a mixed starter which was delightful. Reasonably priced too. Would 100% Recommend and we can’t wait to return”

“Amazing Thai food. The best in Loughborough. Prices are quite high for starters but reasonable for mains. Mains portion size is great, food arrives with accompanying sauces and is very well presented. Service was brilliant, however if they are busy it can be a tough to get the staffs attention for additional drinks or service. Food arrived in good time and was made to order, the ingredients used are tailed to the dish and for the specific allergy’s. I would highly recommend for a good dinning experiance”

“Update in Aug 2019 Been here quite a few times now and the food standard is still keeping it up and we almost tried the whole menu. Chinese Dim Sum still my favourite and the sashimi/sushi is also delicious, fresh and descent price. Staffs are friendly and they even kept my hoodie which I had left here 4-5 months ago :) ************************** previous review Decent food and very nice atmosphere... A lot to choose from but we mainly stick with dim sum that evening... friend staff and food was quick. “Seriously, how is Sawadee only rated 4.3? They are absolutely amazing and deserve a much higher rating! I really regret not discovering this Thai restaurant sooner. My family and I have been on a mission to find an authentic Thai restaurant with genuine traditional flavors across England, from London to MK, through the Midlands to Manchester, and nothing comes close to this. Tongyum is outstanding, offering a perfect blend of citrusy, spicy, and flavorful lemongrass and galangal. And their green Thai curry is the real deal with just the right amount of hot spicy, a variety of spices, and a creamy, sweet touch from coconut milk. Next time will definitely try their Penang. The Thai restaurant in East Midlands is amazing, isn't it? It's so nice to have such tasty dishes available to us locals. Just wanted to emphasize that we really liked the vibe there - super chill with no annoying music, and the staff were all really nice and friendly!”

From the very start during the planning stage, till the very end of our event, the manager and staff at Tipu sultan were outstandingly accommodating and pleasant to work with.
