“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. “Lovely little Thai restaurant tucked away in the countryside. Went with friends on a Monday & it was almost fully booked! Staff are lovely, food was absolutely delicious. We shared a few dishes between us but the duck curry & seabass with ginger were my standouts. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Absolutely gorgeous restaurant with very friendly staff who were incredibly attentive and nothing was any trouble. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were served beautifully. One of the best meals I’ve had in a restaurant so can not recommend more. Will definitely be returning when I’m next in pershore. Prawns were perfectly cooked and the coconut rice is a must try! Paid around roughly £30 per person for 7 of us including drinks!”

“What an absolute delight to discover this Thai takeaway spot in Ludlow! From the moment I stepped in, I was met with truly disarming hospitality. Despite it being solely a takeaway, the gentleman behind the counter kindly offered me a seat, making me feel instantly welcome. His enthusiasm for the food were infectious. He warmheartedly explained every dish that interested me, making many suggestions based on my preferences. It was clear he genuinely wanted me to have the best experience. But let's talk about the food itself – the ingredients were unbelievably fresh! I could definitely tell they used fresh ingredients and cooked to order. In fact, I was even able to see a woman chopping fresh meat on the corner of the kitchen, a testament to their commitment to quality. The magic didn't stop there! The cook in the kitchen was exceptionally lovely. They were super interactive, chatting away while preparing my order, and showed incredible generosity by preparing a huge portion for me! They even went the extra mile, asking if I needed a bowl to take back to my B&B, which was incredibly thoughtful and saved me a lot of hassle. This place isn't just about delicious Thai food, it's about the genuine warmth, care, and unparalleled freshness from the team. It was arguably the best Thai food experience I've ever had. The selection of other dishes was very pleasant and good contrasting flavours. I'd certainly recommend Maekong Thai for a relaxed meal. The meal with drinks was £40 each in July 2025 and was excellent value.”

“The food was absolutely amazing. I have to say, too good. I had the pad Thai and pad sew ew. Two different flavours, both were equally delicious. We went on a Sunday and it was kind of busy, we had to wait a bit for the noodles. I would say worth the wait. Imalsham the manager was extremely kind and friendly, he informed us about it while we placed an order. Overall, what a great experience.”

“Having eaten at restaurants in Thailand, I had high expectations before eating here and this restaurant definitely did not disappoint! We had a shared starter and two separate mains - I had the chicken pad thai and ended up taking some home in a box the portion size was that big! The prawn crackers they serve are honestly to die for, I have no idea what they put in them but they are absolutely incredible. The prawn toast was just amazing too. Cannot recommend this place high enough!! 100/10!”

“They serve the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had — honestly, it’s right up there with what you’d find in Thailand. Every bite is packed with flavour, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. The decor is beautiful too — lots of natural wood, with a cosy yet stylish feel that makes you want to linger. “We popped in to have some food here. The prepayment system is easy to use, and the staff helped us to have a card and top it up. There are different eateries with Korian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese food. The concept is perfect, the staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and we had massive portions. “Had dinner here 2x last yr and again this yr and i absolutly love the food. Service is 10/10 food quality and taste 10/10 presentation 10/10. “Had some food from here for the first time last night, only a simple meal some plain fries and Korean fried chicken, we were really impressed with how exceptionally nice the food tasted It was fresh clearly cooked to order piping hot and so flavoursome and tasted amazing. The fries were so crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the centre The chicken huge breast portions oozing with tasty sauce. Very impressive The server was also super polite and friendly which is a pleasant change. Will be back for more !”
