“It was my sister birthday and we decided to spend our dinner at a Japanese restaurant. The sushi was delicious, and well-price. The salmon sashimi was so fresh and came with thick slices. They also offered cooked sets for my sister since she is not comfortable with raw fish. I love my Koko Special Lychee too. The staffs were friendly and they even sang happy birthday to my sister.”

“Absolutely Outstanding! I recently visited Tokyo Izakaya and was blown away by the whole experience. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and authentically Japanese. You feel like you’ve stepped straight into a Tokyo backstreet eatery. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented; every bite melted in the mouth. I've tried Chicken Kastu Curry, Chicken Kastu, Akita Mango and Salmon Maki, and Volcano Dragon Maki. It was full of flavour and grilled to perfection. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations from both the food and sake menu. The Robata grill dishes were a standout, and the tonkotsu ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with umami. A big thank you to Jessica, Mukesh, and the entire team for the delicious food and warm hospitality. If you’re looking for genuine Japanese dining in Birmingham, this is easily one of the best. I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!”

“This is my second time being here, and the food is lovely and the sushi is also fresh. The prices they give are also on the larger side so I definitely recommend! The pricing is also cheaper than all the other Japanese restaurants in the area. The drink I got was a match latte, make sure to properly mix it before drinking. The matcha here is the best one I’ve ever had, but the drink amount has decreased since the last time I’ve gone. First photo is the time I went and the second is the first time I went. Still recommend because the drink price is only £2.80 and matcha is very expensive right now, so I still think it’s a good deal!”

“We popped in to have some food here. The prepayment system is easy to use, and the staff helped us to have a card and top it up. There are different eateries with Korian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese food. The concept is perfect, the staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and we had massive portions. “Great spot for a quick bite. You can pick dishes from the conyevor belt that are colour coded. There are altnerive things such as rice, noodles, sushi, and a strong range of sauces and flavours. Lots of range even if you have allergens or anything. Staff are so polite and kind! I would definitely recommend this spot if I could only choose one place to eat in the bullring.”

If this restaurant was in London it would be packed with queues around the block. In Birmingham, for now, it remains a hidden gem. I can't recommend this place enough. Everything is carefully thought about and the customer remains the prime focus. The sushi is exquisite, personal favourites being the California roll and the dragon roll all at a very reasonable price considering the venue, service and atmosphere. “We organised a private event for my sisters hen do last weekend where we privately hired the venue and they provided catering for us all. We had 20 people in total of which 8 are vegetarian and no vegans but everybody loved the food, it was delicious. They had thought of everything, playlists, table layout, self serve water on the side and even a tripod to take some group photos. We had a fantastic time and it was so special to have the venue to ourselves with sharing food and excellent service. Thank you again, would highly recommend!!”

“Me and my colleagues went to this restaurant for dinner. In this restaurant we have to cook ourselves. I have ordered myself a steak and it was really good meat. My colleagues have offered prawns, sushi and more. The pictures are shown along with this review. The food has been well decorated and nicely mixed with spices. The raw food is being served so that the customer can prepare the food on their own taste and the level of cooking they prefer. Each table have an oven which allows you to cook your food. They do have a very good seating capacity in the restaurant. The restaurant is well decorated. I highly recommend this place.”
