“I've eaten here twice now, once on a Saturday evening and once on a Sunday lunchtime. On both occasions I found both the food and service to be exceptional. The staff were both helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I live 45 minutes away, but the food was so incredibly good that I happily travelled that far a second time, and I would happily travel there again and again. The burrito was delicious, as was the roast dinner. I also liked the fact that they have vegan drinks on the menu. In the future I would be very interested in attending one of their cookery classes.”

“I had such a fantastic time at The Blue Joanna! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I was especially impressed by the vegan options on the menu. I think either the banana blossom or the buffalo cauliflower were my favourite meals. But then again, everything I tried was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s always such a treat to find a place that takes plant-based dishes seriously, and they really delivered. The service was lovely throughout. It was friendly, attentive, and relaxed. What made the evening even more special was when the staff sang happy birthday to another table. It was such a thoughtful touch and a lot of fun to experience as well! Highly recommend for a cozy night out with great food, kind people, and a bit of fun. I’ll definitely be back!”

“I have been wanting to come here for a while. We had a lovely warm welcome on a dark damp night. Warm environment with a young vibe and good music. The burgers are nice but can be a little hard to eat with their size and wetness. Very enjoyable meal and look forward to returning in the future.”

“I went on here today and got a couple new items like sesame seeds and a travel size soy sauce. Got a couple other bits. Main surprise was how many of the sweets and noodles from the videos are from their shop I felt bad they didn't tell me sooner. Great shop really good for getting a good level of quality for what you pay. Also stuff for cooking lots of dinners but another is another time I could really spend all day in there.”

“Absolutely loved this place. A real hidden gem in the centre of Norwich. Feeling spontaneous on a Friday evening. I called half an hour before to see if they could accommodate my wife and I for dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly and they managed to squeeze us in at the last minute. The food is absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced. We opted to share a mix of various small plates and everything was delicious, well presented and served promptly. The drinks offering is decent so my wife opted to try a glass of the Plum wine while I stuck with the familiar Sapporo. We were so blown away by the plum wine we decided to share a bottle. It is the perfect drink to have whilst savouring the delicate flavours of the food, a wonderful balance of dry, sweet, tangy and fresh. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. We will be returning again in the very near future.”

“Myself my wife and Daughter was in Burgh castle for a short break. We discovered this restaurant/takeaway while goggling for a takeaway which had gluten free options. We was so impressed with their friendly and understanding staff who reassured us Of their food. Our takeaway was delicious Very good ingredients and cooked so well. “i loved it here, me and my mum visited norwich over the weekend and she found this place to go to for dinner and it did not dissapoint! we pretty much ordered the whole menu, and everything was delicious we had loaded fries, wings, and a rice bowl and we shared a bit of everything this place is perfect for sharing! it needs more recognition honestly the food was amazing and we met tom and evie who work there and they were so lovely. i wish there was one near me so i could have it again! 100/10 ❤️”

“We have been going to Matane for years and it is hands down the best sushi we have found in Norfolk. Their selection is fantastic and the sushi rolls are delicious, if anyone wants take away sushi quickly i recommend here. For larger groups their sharing platters are excellent and for individuals their portions are well sized. Their staff are really nice and have never made us feel unwelcome or awkward. The only downside is their restaurant seating is very limited, around 10 seats inside on a communal table or window table. We have eaten in before and it was perfectly comfortable but I wouldn’t go for a dinner with multiple people. Long story short- Eat here! Take away is the best option, the staff are also very nice!”

“Visited on both a Sunday and Monday evenings for a takeaway. Didn’t phone ahead but only waited around 10 minutes each time, and there seemed to be plenty of orders coming through. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent, will definitely be visiting again!! Would highly recommend the beef curry and beef & mushroom!”

“I have tried many chineses in my 25 years of life, up and down the coast of norfolk and suffolk, and when i tell you this is the best chinese i’ve ever had i mean it, the food is absolutely fantastic i couldn’t ask for any more from these guys, the portion sizes and great the food is made fresh when you order and it always arrives steaming hot, after a long day at work my wife comes home and when i tell her i’ve ordered from here her face lights up, thank you for making our evenings exciting and full of taste, here’s to many more orders. lots of love.”

“Vietnamese street food - really tasty! We were first attracted by the queue as the locals seemed to already know that the food was good. It was a little wait but it was well worth it - tasty rice noodles in broth with chicken n veg - wife had the vegan option both were great - recommended”
